Finally updated Octane Render from 3.07 to 2022, as well as Cinema 4D from R19 to R23. For now, I can’t switch to R23+ versions because of the plugins I frequently use in my work, which still haven’t been adapted for the newer versions. So far, I really like it because there are many new features that I need to try out. #Octane_render #4dCinema #3d

Epic added a new denoiser for Path Tracing this week UE5-Main branch, NFOR, specifically designed for sequence rendering, it appears quite stable compared to the default denoiser, with some noise left over vs the insane warbling with the default. The render here was done at 1080p with only 8 samples and 8 temporal samples (so 64 total) to get a worse case scenario for denoise sampling. Seems pretty promising! You can enable the NFOR Plugin on UE5-Main branch, then you need to set r.PathTracing.SpatialDenoiser.Type 1, and set r.NFOR.FrameCount 2 and then when rendering with MRQ enable reference motion blur. #UE5 #UnrealEngine #GameDev #Cinematic #Rendering #PathTracing
