Flying Vision Accelerator has lift off! After an extensive preparation phase, we are proud to announce our Kick Off. The Flying Vision Accelerator - Luchtvaart in Transitie [FVA] project team met at the TU Delft | Aerospace Engineering yesterday, and discussed the project with Luchtvaart in Transitie and the Ministerie van Infrastructuur en Waterstaat. We were declared "ready for take-off"! ✈️ Flying Vision Accelerator is a project within the Luchtvaart in Transitie Nationaal Groeifonds focusing on knowledge gathering, next to the technology- and eco-system development projects. ✈️ Flying Vision Accelerator aims to contribute to climate neutral aviation in 2050 by development of roadmaps and an overarching vision. This will come about by the activities of deep-dives and think-tanks, both employing an open working-method on input as well as output side. ✈️ The team is inspired to get to work, and we are thankful for the efforts of all involved to make this happen, specific shout-out to NLR - Netherlands Aerospace Centre, KLM Royal Dutch Airlines, Airbus and Airbus Netherlands B.V. and Royal Schiphol Group Delft University of Technology as founding partners. Collins Aerospace and Pratt & Whitney announced a strategic partnership to conduct joint research and development on sustainable aviation technology with Dutch companies.

Gianvito Apuleo is the coordinator of the Piaggio Aerospace team, within the H2ELIOS project, that has completed the CS25 airworthiness regulation gap analysis concerning the liquid hydrogen fuel tank system. The research was conducted – with the support of our Technical Department - in cooperation with EASA - European Union Aviation Safety Agency, which facilitated the design phase for the liquid hydrogen tank demonstrator. Yesterday we Center for Hybrid Electric Systems Cottbus (chesco) welcomed our partners Boeing and Rolls-Royce at our Newton Flight Academy Brandenburg. With Rolls-Royce we have signed a cooperation agreement to financially support our STEM project over the next five years. The CHESCO GmbH operates the Newton Room / Newton Flight Academy in Cottbus with modules for school classes (Up in the Air with Numbers) as well as offerings for smaller children (The Life of the Bumblebee).
