We try to be more than just a provider of a superb volunteer management platform 😇 We constantly seek ways to support the sector. One fantastic initiative is our Lunch and Learn series, the brainchild of our resident voluntary sector BNOC (Big Name on Campus) 💜Mushka Cohen-Gluck Our latest was in-person hosted by our wonderful partners at Dotdigital. The view did not disappoint. Thanks to our tiktok queen Jennifer Mars who was also kind enough to walk me, the old man of Volunteero through how to download this 🫣🤣 If you are a professional in the voluntary sector, I have included some links in the comments to just a few of the things we offer (for free of course) 1. Engaging Gen Z Beyond the Likes: How to Foster Real-World Connections 👉 The next generation is digitally savvy, but how do we bridge the gap and get them involved in society beyond social media? Here are some ideas: 👉 Gen Z craves meaningful experiences. Highlight volunteer opportunities or projects that align with their passions (e.g., environmental cleanups, youth mentorship programs). 👉 Make it Social: Organize events that combine social interaction with real-world activities (e.g., coding workshops with team projects, community sports leagues). 👉 Micro-Volunteering: Offer bite-sized volunteer options that fit busy schedules. Partner with local organizations for short-term projects. 👉 Gamification: Integrate game mechanics (points, badges) into real-world activities to boost engagement (e.g., fitness challenges with fundraising goals). 📊 A 2023 study by Barna Group, a research organization focusing on faith and culture, found that more than half (54%) of Gen Z adults reported volunteering their time to an organization in the past three months. 📈 A 2022 report by the McKnight Foundation, which focuses on issues like community and the environment, explores the motivations of young volunteers. The report states that 82% of Gen Z globally are actively involved in advocacy and activism, demonstrating their passion for social change. Call to Action: What are your thoughts on engaging Gen Z outside social media? Share your ideas in the comments! #AttractGenZ #WeAreAirswift #Volunteerism

come say hi to me at Sunday Soul Sante! I promise, I won’t bite! p.s: i’m a B.Com graduate with a passion for skincare, beauty and wellness.
I would like to disagree with this. #LinkedIn is quite a great platform for connecting more than competing. The ones competing and not a "corporate girls' girl" don't know the TRUE value of LinkedIn. 😉 #socialmedia #digitalmarketing #corporateworld
All about HR & it’s sensitivity. Experienced HR Manager with a history of working in the IT & services industry. Skilled in core HR, employee engagement & grievance handling. I don’t encourage 18 hrs of work !
Sad Reality of linkedin - Corporate Girls don’t like helping out corporate girls. Sad but true :( Everyone is out there to compete!

𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗶𝗳 𝗜 𝘁𝗼𝗹𝗱 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗜 𝗵𝗮𝘃𝗲𝗻’𝘁 𝗯𝗲𝗲𝗻 𝗼𝗻 𝗜𝗻𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗺 𝗶𝗻 𝗮 𝗳𝗲𝘄 𝗺𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗵𝘀? I used to be very addicted to Instagram. I would wake up in the morning and spend hours scrolling through my feed. It got so bad that a friend noticed and called me out on it. We had both set goals to achieve, and it was clear that Instagram was holding me back. After a few days of reflection, I decided to delete the app. The results were transformative. I found I could work more efficiently, complete tasks in my daily to-do list, build my presence here on LinkedIn, and even go without my phone for hours at a time. This experience made me discover a powerful truth: sometimes, the things we love can become the very chains that hold us back. 𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗶𝗳 𝘄𝗲 𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝘁𝗼𝗼𝗸 𝗮 𝗺𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝘁𝗼 𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗽 𝗯𝗮𝗰𝗸 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗮𝘀𝗸 𝗼𝘂𝗿𝘀𝗲𝗹𝘃𝗲𝘀—𝘄𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗱𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗸𝗲𝗲𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘂𝘀 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝘁𝗿𝘂𝗲 𝗽𝗼𝘁𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗮𝗹? 1. Therapy - I have a terrific trauma-informed therapist who moved last year from London to Somerset; the internet enabled us to continue and deepen our work together. 2. Education - I was failing my A levels. Threats from teachers I'd be kicked out for scoring 12% whilst my peers got 90%; internet levelled my educational playing field when I discovered online video content and support forums. I could learn at my own pace, and my pace was slower because I was more curious - I wanted to know how math formula's were created not memorise and mindlessly apply formula's. As a result; I aced all the exams, got some of the highest marks in school and the main purpose; getting into my dream university, the top in the UK in my subject at the time. 3. Entrepreneurship - self-taught programming at 13 and started a large online community teaching other teens how to program bots to play games (great incentive). Taught and learnt many valuable skills from a young age; managing cyber attacks from competitors, managing community conflict, marketing, leadership. 4. Broadening my perspective - being able to interact with people from different cultures, understanding different viewpoints, getting out of my own 'bubble', mentorship outside of London. 5. Connection - whether that's peer support with my focusing psychotherapy course, connecting with my beautiful friends and family in Scotland; fun video and celebration in our success and our failures, finding and sharing fun events so we can all meet-up (in the same place), organising in-person or online events and conversations. #ConnectInFive #GetOnlineWeek I believe it's the last day to share! You've been nominated! Go for it Marc Goblot Charlene Tait Jordan Stevenson <3. Would love to hear your top 5!
#ConnectInFive challenge this #GetOnlineWeek. Here are five things I couldn't do without being connected to the internet: 1. Mission - Collaborating with my amazing and nationally dispersed teammates at AbilityNet supporting clients and working on a range of projects with fantastic partners to close the #DigitalDivide and create a digital world accessible to all. 2. Inspo - Engaging with inspiring news and updates from the #accessibility, #disability and #DigitalInclusion community (too many fabulous contacts to tag. You know who you are!) 3. Giggles and support network - Keeping up with the hilarious going’s on and sourcing quality advice in my girlfriends WhatsApp chat 4. Family - Keeping track of my lovely teenage daughter’s comings and going’s, sending sweet nothings to my fella and FaceTiming my wonderful dad in France and my equally wonderful mum in Devon. 5. Life admin - Managing SO many aspects of keeping on top of life - paying bills, reservations, researching random things to educate and entertain myself or prove I’m right about something 😂 I could DEFINITELY go on. Imagine having no access to digital? What couldn’t you do?? I am nominating Mark Walker, Emma Stone and Ashley Peacock to share your top 5! Use the hashtags #ConnectInFive #GetOnlineWeek.

✨ Connected by Community: Finding Belonging in Fandoms and Brand Communities ✨ I’ve never been the “popular girl.” Throughout my teens and early twenties, I struggled with feeling forgettable, like I wasn’t making a mark on anyone’s life. But something changed along the way—I found a sense of community in an unexpected place: brands. Today, I published my first Substack post, where I dive deep into the power of brand communities and why they’ve become so important to me—not just personally but also from a marketing perspective. In a world that often feels disconnected, communities give us a space to belong. Whether you’re a marketer or someone seeking connection, I hope my reflections resonate with you and offer insights into the growing importance of these spaces. 💌 Read my full post here: https://lnkd.in/gThsRK5u 👩💻 Join me as I explore how brands like Rare Beauty are creating spaces where people feel seen, heard, and supported. #BrandCommunities #Marketing #PersonalGrowth #Belonging #CommunityBuilding #BeautyIndustry #SocialConnection #MarketingInsights #PersonalStory #Newsletter #EmpoweringCommunities #Marketing #BeautyIndustry #Substack
