“COATINGS EVOLUTION” ETCC2024 – European Technical Coatings Congress 23–24–25 September 2024 Palace of the Popes - Avignon (France) We would lite to remind you that the ETCC Congress, organized by AFTPVA (French Association of Technicians of Paints, Varnishes, Inks and Adhesives), will take place in September (23rd to 25th), in a wonderful location as the Palace of the Popes in Avignon, south of France. It is a great opportunity to meet a lot of people from the Coatings, Inks and Adhesives industries, and to learn a maximum of information regarding the developments and innovations, the process improvement,... Conferences (around 100) are planed during this Congress, and potential speakers have again some possibilities to register, and to submit an abstract to be studied by the Scientific Committee as to be accepted. A lot of industrial companies will be present, as start-up too, and universities, coming from worldwide (Europe of course, but also Africa, Middle East, US, Japan,…). 50 YEARS OF INNOVATION AT THE UNIVERSITY OF DELAWARE'S CENTER FOR COMPOSITE MATERIALS Established in 1974, UD Center For Composite Materials was one of the country's initial National Science Foundation (NSF) Engineering Research Centers (ERC) and remains the only surviving center from that inaugural group. UD-CCM founded the first university-industry consortium in 1978 and has established a national network with more than 400 industry partners focused on basic and applied research to commercialization/ technology transition/innovation (TRL/MRL 1 to 9) and workforce training. Over the past five decades, UD-CCM has spearheaded advancements across all TRL levels, resulting in over 5,000 peer-reviewed publications, more than 40 patents, and substantial economic impacts through $300+ million in research funding. The center's educational initiatives have nurtured a global alum network of over 3,000, who continue to influence the composites industry and academia significantly. This presentation will highlight UD-CCM’s significant contributions to interdisciplinary research, education, and technology transfer in composite materials and encapsulates UD-CCM's foundational impact and forward-looking strategies in the dynamic field of composite materials. The SPE Automotive Div. conference will feature technical sessions, panel discussions, keynotes, and exhibits highlighting advances in materials, processes, and equipment for both thermoset and thermoplastic composites in a wide variety of transportation applications. Insights from the Latest Industry Conference (https://lnkd.in/dGFdZiCP) I now have digested the experiences from the enlightening conference last week, and I wanted to share a few key takeaways: The hot topics everyone is discussing are #CLP and #PFAS. It's clear these issues are top of mind for many in our industry. I had an excellent opportunity to connect with software providers and other consultants, exchanging valuable insights and exploring potential collaborations. I was especially amazed by a solution for automizing website compliance information in #onlinesales which i hopefully will see soon. Surprisingly, there was little to no discussion about #AI. It's interesting to see how different topics gain focus in various professional circles, as it was top of mind at the last conference i attended.   Looking forward to continuing these important conversations! These have already inspired some actions over here and i am already looking forward to applying some more over the summer. #ProfessionalDevelopment #Networking 

It’s a wrap – PIDMIC 3.0 With an impressive turnout of over 100 attendees, PIDMIC 3.0 was an unequivocal triumph. Distinguished representatives from various industry and standard organizations converged at Achema in Frankfurt for two dynamic days of collaboration, knowledge sharing, and impactful discussions. The event buzzed with energy as participants engaged in productive workshops, yielding tangible results. A next big step to get aligned and global  data specifications for the whole plant life cycle of the Process Industry. (Heiner Temmen) Two years ago, at the PIDMIC 1.0 we learned a lot about the different initiatives, in the sense  “who is doing what”. This year we developed a clear understanding how to align the initiatives to implement a data driven asset lifecycle management. (Wilhelm Otten) Our heartfelt gratitude goes out to all the dedicated presenters and the exceptional DEXPI networking team. Their efforts contributed significantly to the event’s success.
