My first RayCaster with miniLibX! 👾 Summary: This project is inspired by the world-famous Wolfenstein 3D game, which was the first FPS ever. It enabled me to explore ray-casting. My goal was to make a dynamic view inside a maze, in which the player will have to find his way. I collaborated with Osema Fadhel, who worked on all cases of parsing the map while i worked on the ray-casting aspect. The DDA Algorithm was used and i got numerous resources from all over the internet but mainly followed this guide: https://lnkd.in/dzsNw8Dv. A lot of the things I've made for my current game has been very exploratory, trying to capture different themes and ideas fitting with concepts from the game. This theme has been developed as a part of that and will be used as the basis for one of the factions within the game. The core theme fits as the backbone of a faction as factions will have different tracks with refferences and elements from these core themes. This helps to create a strong sense of identity for all the characters and environment and allows me to link them to their factions.
