AS a Marine Vet let me help you out with this some It's called do not believe fiction over fact AKA do SOME research... Per Snopes: In reality, it's not clear that Mattis ever made those remarks, but he probably never did. The meme has appeared intermittently online since shortly after Mattis took office. The earliest instance we could find was from May 2017, when it was posted by the conservative Facebook page "Mad World News," where it reappeared in June and September 2017. We could find no corroborating evidence of Mattis ever having said or written those words, despite checking online news archives dating back several decades. "Mad World News" is a Facebook page and website with a history of posting provocative and occasionally inflammatory memes. It has a track record of publishing misleading and inaccurate stories, particularly about Muslims, some of which we have examined previously. Although we can't definitively say one way or another, the absence of any independent corroboration for the purported or even a cited source or date in the meme, along with the previous record of "Mad World strongly suggest that the quotation is fabricated. Per Truth or Fiction: No citation or link to a source for the purported Mattis quote were provided alongside the image. This wasn’t the claim’s first appearance; at least one person tweeted the quote with the same attribution in August 2018. It seems as if Mattis made such blunt remarks, they would have been highly popular (particularly among gun enthusiasts.) However, a search for any hint the commentary was legitimate led to a small handful of hits, almost all of which traced back to meme-hosting sites. We were unable to find any interviews or other comments from James “Mad Dog” Mattis that matched the quote in the meme, and the veracity of the claim so far remains somewhere between “unlikely” and “unproven.”

#SecurityManagement does not only concern physical safety, like protection against physical threats such as fire or natural disasters. It also concerns social safety. That's how much cohesion or polarization exists within a city or community. Do people connect with each other or is there a lot of separation between neighborhoods and a lot of loneliness? Threats against safety and security can originate from malicious intent like crime or terrorism, or without malicious intent like those caused by accidents or natural disasters. Also, safety and security does not only address objective aspects, for instance the likelihood of becoming a victim of crime or a traffic accident. It also addresses subjective aspects. How safe do people actually feel? , We mainly use the terms safety and security interchangeably, even though they are sometimes associated with different meanings. #security #safety #securitymanager #veterans #military #vigilance #administration

📢 Did you know that veterans are twice as likely to develop ALS, commonly known as Lou Gehrig's disease. While the exact cause is yet to be determined, research suggests that certain military exposures, such as environmental toxins and traumatic brain injuries, may contribute to the development of ALS. Understanding these risks not only benefits our service members but supports their families and the wider ALS community as well. 🌟 According to recent statistics, the percentage of soldiers who develop ALS due to military service is a matter of concern. It is crucial that we bring awareness to this issue to drive further research and support for these individuals who have bravely served our country. By addressing the unique challenges faced by our military personnel, we can work towards finding effective prevention, treatment, and support for those living with ALS. 💚 Let's stand united in raising awareness, supporting research, and fostering a more inclusive and compassionate community for those impacted by ALS, particularly in our military. Together, we can make a significant difference. 🌍 #ALS #MilitaryVeterans #SupportOurTroops #RaiseAwareness #UnitedAgainstALS

Tonight, many in the States will be celebrating 248 years of independence. There will also be a cohort protecting themselves from the sounds of combat. It’s truly unfortunate that the sounds of fireworks used to celebrate mimic the sounds of mortars and bombs that not only veterans, but refugees associate with traumatic experiences. This is not to say: don’t celebrate with fireworks. Rather, be congnizant of your neighbors. Many vets are prepared for tonight wirh support groups, meds, alternative therapies, and meditation. But, they may not be prepared for a random Tuesday or Sunday. If you dont don’t care about people, then consider the many animals who are tormented by the sound. If you plan on having a fireworks extravaganza, meet with your neighbors, put up signs to help others plan. Also, be smart and be safe tonight, and Happy Fourth of July to those who celebrate. #safety #fireworks #veterans #awareness

BOOK OF THE DAY: Operation: Protected Angel - Shepherd Security recruits only the best. They can protect someone in trouble like no other because they work in the shadows, invisible, and outside the system where the rules don’t apply–just the oath they took. They don’t exist. That’s also why they can break any suspect and can get answers out of anyone accused. That’s when they’re called in, when someone must be protected at all costs, or when answers must be obtained, by any means necessary. Sometimes it’s not clear, though, is the person in their custody a witness or the perpetrator, a friendly or a foe, innocent or guilty as sin? Angel Matthews fits into this category–where exactly needs to be determined. #military #actionbooks #adventurefiction #adventureromance https://lnkd.in/eUAAq5E2...
