Honored to connect with hospital leadership, thought leaders, and innovators who tirelessly support healthcare professionals and their teams at Minnesota Hospital Association’s leadership conference. At Associated Healthcare Credit Union, our legacy spans 71 years of partnering with hospitals, systems, and other heathcare employers to enhance the financial well-being of their team members. We understand their vital role and are committed to supporting them. In just two days, I've gained an even deeper understanding of the challenges hospitals face and the need for our complimentary financial well-being resources to lift financial stress from healthcare heroes. I am also inspired by the hospitals commitment to supporting all team members. Whether it’s through exploring AI to allow clinicians to focus on patients, or ways to share appreciation, it’s heartwarming to see the empathy and commitment hospitals have for their employees. The timing of this conference is outstanding, especially since my role with AHCU expanded earlier this month. Please let me know if you know of a healthcare employer interested in learning more. It's both a professional and personal mission to help employers provide free benefits to improve productivity, show appreciation, and increase the financial well-being of healthcare professionals and their families. Let's ensure the financial wellbeing of those who care for us all. Please share your thoughts on how we can help hospitals and their teams. It takes a village! To get us started, consider thanking a hospital leader for their dedication. They have a lot on their plates. Appreciation goes a long way. #Healthcare #FinancialWellbeing #Hospitals

Webinar on Sept. 24: Increasing Diversity in the Health Professions Hear from institutional change leaders working to create more equitable systems and policies to support a diverse healthcare workforce. RWJF is evolving its leadership strategy and will host three webinars this fall to provide valuable insights on our new direction. Join the first webinar, "Increasing Diversity in the Health Professions," with the Consortium of DEI Health Educators (CDHE) on Sept. 24, 12:00 - 1:00 PM Pacific. This webinar will share tangible ways leaders can work across academia and health care to diversify the health care workforce. Diversity in health care is essential for achieving health equity, as it brings the talents, wisdom, and lived experiences of historically marginalized people into the work of transforming the health care systems that have often provided inequitable treatment to their communities. Every year, thousands of public health professionals engage, innovate, and make an impact on the communities they serve. The dedication and commitment to protecting and promoting the health of Oregon’s communities makes an immeasurable impact. At OPHA, we are committed to acknowledging and celebrating the enduring influence that these individuals have in Oregon. OPHA members may nominate themselves, another member, or an organization for one of the four categories: 📢 Lifetime Achievement – For a person demonstrating a lifetime commitment to public health and to the improvement of health in Oregon. 📢 Policy Champion of the Year – For a person or organization that has made an outstanding contribution to advancing public health policy in Oregon. 📢 Emerging Leader – For a person starting a career in public health who demonstrates leadership, innovation, and creativity. Alternatively, this award may also be given to an organization that has demonstrated leadership, innovation and creativity at the onset of their organizational development. 📢 Health Equity Champion – For a person or organization realizing health equity through addressing historical and contemporary injustices, centering social justice and the social determinants of health, and/or working to eliminate preventable health disparities. The awards will be given this October, at our 80th Annual Conference and Meeting, during our Awards Ceremony. Nominations are due August 30, 2024! https://lnkd.in/gcr63Yt4

I attended the Royal College of General Practitioners Virtual Conference 2024: A Vision for the Future of Primary Care. It was inspiring to hear about colleagues who have pushed the boundaries of primary care. Each speaker drew from their unique experiences, which ultimately led them to excel as advocates, clinicians, educators, and leaders.
