The latest report from the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ) highlights the role of electronic health records in promoting transparency and patient engagement. This important issue brief was a collaborative effort by leading experts in health care and technology: Dr. Kristen Miller, senior scientific director at MedStar Health National Center for Human Factors in Healthcare; Dr. Raj Ratwani, vice president of scientific affairs at MedStar Health Research Institute; and research fellows, Drs.
