Happy to be in Turin today to present my work in progress on the construction of ECSC planning policy in the 1950s and 1960s. In particular, I will focus on the analysis of the historical and economic context and the content of the judgement Société des Usines à Tubes de la Sarre vs High Authority of the ECSC (cases 1-57 and 14-57) which are fundamental judgements since they enabled the High Authority to have a legal basis for the formulation of its opinions on investments for companies and thus to formulate an important investment policy for the benefit of the European steel sector from the 1950s to the 1990s. #EUlaw #CourtofJustice #steel #planning
