When Pakistan won Olympic gold in javelin throw, it wasn’t just their victory. For many of us, it felt like a shared moment of pride, just as much as when India wins on the cricket field. It’s a reminder that success isn’t limited to borders, it’s about shared passions and dreams. In our professional lives, we often see the same. A breakthrough in technology, a medical advancement, a creative innovation, all these successes, no matter where they happen, move all of us forward. On this Independence Day, let’s celebrate not just the achievements within our own borders, but also those that inspire us globally. Happy Independence Day! From their lives, we learn valuable lessons: - *Non-Violence and Truth*: Mahatma Gandhi's philosophy of non-violence and truth inspires us to stand up for our rights without harming others ¹. - *Courage and Perseverance*: Lal Bahadur Shastri's bravery during India's freedom struggle and his simple living teach us to be courageous and humble ². - *Importance of Self-Sufficiency*: Shastri's slogan "Jai Jawan Jai Kisan" emphasizes the need to support our soldiers and farmers, ensuring national security and self-sufficiency ². - *Simple Living, High Thinking*: Both leaders demonstrated simplicity, humility, and dedication to the nation, inspiring us to live with integrity ¹ ². - *Leadership and Vision*: Gandhi and Shastri's visionary leadership guided India towards independence and progress, encouraging us to strive for a better future .

Watching this video, I found myself lost in a flood of memories, reminiscing about India's journey through the years. Names hold deep significance, serving as markers and carriers of history, ideas, and identities. In the post-independence era, the renaming of "Kingsway" to "Rajpath" was a symbolic gesture, signalling the dawn of a new era for the nation. Yet, beneath, the colonial legacy remained rooted. When Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced the rechristening from Rajpath to Kartavyapath, it genuinely felt like a pivotal shift rather than a mere change in nomenclature. As emphasized by the Prime Minister, it certainly signified our freedom from colonialism's grip. Yet, beyond that, I felt, the transition from a nation reliant on external sources for ideals to innovation, to proudly embracing our heritage and translating it into action. Yes. this symbolizes our journey towards an Atmanirbhar Bharat. Also. Kartavyapath serves not only as a reminder for politicians to fulfil their obligations but also as a call to action for every citizen. It will embed itself in the collective consciousness of future generations, becoming a beacon of duty towards nation and national pride.
