✅🖥️ Reuters (2/13): “Retailers' ad businesses, commonly called retail media networks (RMN), have become an attractive option for advertisers as traditional ad sellers like Apple and Google crack down on the amount of third-party data they share with advertisers. As a result, RMNs have become the fastest-growing part of the U.S. ad industry are slated to generate about $60 billion in sales this year, according to Insider Intelligence estimates. Owning Vizio would give Walmart access to an active user base of nearly 18MM people and help unlock Vizio's own ad software platform business that has annual advertising revenues growing north of 27% at a more than 60% margin rate, said Nicholas Zangler, an analyst at Stephens. Vizio commanded the no. 1 shelf-share position at Walmart and nearly 70% of its TVs are sold at the retailer, the analyst said. By acquiring Vizio, Walmart could potentially control 22% of the U.S. TV set market between its private-label Onn brand and Vizio, he added. ACoS and TACoS are division problems Ad Spend / Ad Sales Ad Spend / Total Sales If you decrease ad spend, but ad sale or total sales decrease at the same rate you'll end up with the same ACoS or TACoS with less sales There's one more number you should pay attention to. Ad sale percentage Ad Sales / Total Sales This lets you know how reliant the account is on ads. The higher the percentage the more ad changes will impact your total account. #advertising #amazonfba #amazonadvertising

Many brands find themselves throwing ad spend at the wrong products. Why is that? The answer is alignment—or misalignment—between your ad spend and catalog performance. This is our approach 👇 (Use the exact date ranges in your business and ad reports) Calculate your ad spend and total sales and other performance metrics on a Parent ASIN level Calculate % of Total Sales and % of Ad Spend for each Parent ASIN Use these to see where you may be over or under spending. Then assess "ad efficiency" by analyzing ACoS, TACoS, Ad Sale Percentage and your Ad CVR vs the products Unit Session Percentage. Ask yourself: Are the products I'm investing in truly worth the spend? Or am I just inflating the costs on lower-tier items? This method doesn't just spotlight underperformance; it guides us to make informed decisions about where to allocate resources and where to dig deeper. #Amazonadvertising #PPC #Amazonseller

"Mixed" ad spend will CRUSH you! Why? (and what is it?) "Mixed" ad spend is defined as ad spending on campaigns containing ASINs from more than one Parent ASIN listing. Imagine this scenario... Listing A is taking off, margins are great! Now is the time to push harder. Listing B is rapidly running out of stock. We need to pull back spend so we don't accelerate this and create time for the shipment to get checked in. But oops! These products are in the same campaign. For Product A we need to increase the budget, for Product B we need to decrease it. There's no good answer to this 👆 That's why we check for mixed as spend as part of our 'Top-down' Ad Audits. It's important to fix this before it's too late!
