Consultant & Founder at Trachtman Consulting | Helped raise over $63M | Market Research | Strategy, Processes & Operations optimization | Financial Modeling | Pricing | Valuations
As someone who is trying to champion a shift to a paradigm of full #transparency, I decided it is time to be fully transparent. Out of 50 Consultant profiles I went through - only 3 have any kind of pricing on their service page - and even they just provide "Starting at" hourly range, which could be meaningful but not really. My full #pricing is now transparent on my #Services page and here: Specific Product Pricing: Market Research Documents: $1.5K - $6K Financial Modeling, budgeting & projections: $500 - $5K Pricing Optimization: $1K - $4K Pitch Decks: Starting at $1K Operational & Strategic Guidance and Consulting, starting at: - $125/H We can discuss Weekly and Monthly rates along those lines Remember this - hiding prices implied the lack of confidence in your product, and with over 100 satisfied customers, I am actually pretty confident... #marketresearch #pitchdecks #financialmodel #budget #projections https://lnkd.in/gae5CZKU

I get asked about how to create better forecasts all the time. So I've made a simple Forecasting 101 outline: ➝ Why is a forecast important? ➝ What is financial forecasting? ➝ Breaking down how to apply it ➝ How we do financial forecasts ➝ How to use forecasts to drive profitability No stories or analogies here, let's get straight into it. Trying to grow your ad account media without having accurate targets is the quickest way to mediocrity and waste. That's where financial forecasting comes into play. It's absolutely critical to your paid media strategy. First, what is financial forecasting? It's projecting out every financial metric in your business - the full P&L if you will. Taking seasonality and syncing your marketing calendar, as well as fixed costs, etc. At Kynship, we use cost control campaigns - the whole point is knowing your breakeven CPA to inform target ROAS (usually with first order contribution margin as the metric of profitability). This is why financial forecasting is core to our process at Kynship, before we launch any ads. Here’s our 4-step process: ➝ Step 1: Collect up two years of historical data (where possible), look at brand seasonality, and outline future spend analysis. ➝ Step 2: Evaluate your business metrics, identifying business levers and how they affect your new customer acquisition goals. ➝ Step 3: Run customer cohort-based forecasts. As these update over time, they’ll provide insights into performance, informing quicker decision making. ➝ Step 4: Compare your unit economics and historical data with total ad spend, new customer revenue, and your CAC. With your financial forecast, you know how to set benchmarks based on your growth goals: ➝ Target ROAS of 1: aggressive growth ➝ Target ROAS > 1: growth with profitability When you know your profitability targets, you can set objective goals for your paid media strategy accordingly. Any questions about financial forecasting? Should I drop a Financial Forecasting 201? Let me know. PS: we do this before launching any ads for new 8-9 figure ecommerce clients at Kynship. If that's you and you're looking to scale your paid media profitably, let's talk.

Life isn't about waiting for the storm to pass. It's about learning to dance in the rain." Sometimes, FP&A can be tough. There are those days when you realize you made a mistake in the financial model you have just emailed to your colleague. Or when you are happy, you submitted the board meeting presentation perfectly on time two days ago, only to get asked to change three charts at 5:59 pm the night before the event. Or you stay late to get the sales budget updated for version #3 just to hear the head of sales tell you at the next morning that we have to revert back to version #1. How can you "dance in the rain" in these situations? You prepare for these scenarios ahead of time. Your financial model was shared as a Google Sheet, so you can fix the mistake before the recipient opens the email. Your charts for the board meeting were created with cutting-edge visualization software. Changing the visualization type takes 2 minutes each. And your budget was created using planning software that allows you to switch between versions with one click. As a result, you navigate these potentially stressful situations with ease.
