As I reflect back in celebrating 5 years at BetterCloud, two things come to mind: 1. The surrealness of remembering 5 years ago in the middle of the DevNexus conference deciding that BetterCloud was exactly what I was looking for in my next job, after meeting several of the team in person. While thinking about how next week I am about to attend the same conference but now as a speaker. 2. How much I have grown in these 5 years thanks to being exposed to several amazing leaders! I want to shout them out along with the key lessons I have learned from each of them. Kevin Skibbe-> Showed me patience my first year as I had a good bit of adapting to do to the pace and size of BetterCloud. During which I learned how to firmly hold engineering standards high but never so rigid that it can’t bend to the needs/capabilities of the moment for the product/business. Jamie Tischart -> Getting things done quickly doesn’t mean you have to sacrifice having fun. In fact if you can enjoy and laugh in the moment it will give you the optimism to tackle the biggest of goals with even more efficiency than otherwise. Lorinda Brandon -> I never have worked for someone more opposite to my natural tendencies. Lorinda was instrumental in helping me see how people and emotions can be far more powerful than any amount of data. Her passion for excellence but mindfulness to the human condition was so refreshing to get exposure to. Stephen M. Dick -> Stephen’s consistent intentionality continues to guide me to make sure I am removing time from good efforts so I can put it towards great ones instead. In my head I still mentally repeat his mantra of “Where we focus we win!”. David Bean -> Has really illustrated that the coalition of several people is going to be far more impactful than any single person no matter how well equipped they are. Being supportive of others allows for a group to withstand incredible odds. I still have plenty to learn myself. But if you get a chance to work with any of these leaders, don’t hesitate as you won’t regret the positive impact they will have on you!

🌟 My Journey in Development: A Grateful Reflection 🌟 As I reflect on my development journey, I am filled with gratitude for the opportunities and experiences that have shaped my career. It all began with an incredible six-month stint at SaaS Solutions, where I received my first opportunity to truly dive into the world of development. I learned so much during this time and want to extend a heartfelt thank you to my team members, our CEO, and everyone who supported me. Your guidance and collaboration were invaluable! After that foundational experience, I spent two enriching years at Cyrix Global. This period was pivotal for my growth, as I was exposed to new technologies and challenges that broadened my skill set. "The only way to do great work is to love what you do," and I found that love here. Now, I am celebrating my one-year journey at Techno Grippers Solutions. This has been another amazing chapter, filled with exciting projects and continuous learning. I’m grateful for the supportive team and the innovative environment that fuels my passion for development every day. "Success is not the key to happiness. Happiness is the key to success. If you love what you are doing, you will be successful." As I continue this journey, I am reminded that every step forward is a step toward growth. "The future belongs to those who believe in the beauty of their dreams." Let’s keep pushing boundaries and inspiring one another! Thank you to everyone who has been part of my journey so far! #DevelopmentJourney #Grateful #MERNStack #ReactNative #ContinuousLearning

It's important to get your brand’s story right… A Content Lead & Social Media Manager with a passion for storytelling.
My Journey of SaaS Discovery with EarlyNode Since joining EarlyNode, a startup-supporting media company, I immersed myself in the SaaS Industry! While I had a grasp of the basics – you know, the definition and all. I never had the opportunity to explore the nuances of this industry. Over the past few weeks, I've been reaching out to PLG & SLG founders, and it's been an eye-opening experience. I've learned that in the world of SaaS, having a strong network isn't just important – it's essential for driving company growth. While networking is valuable in any industry, it's even more crucial for SaaS founders. An active network can be a game-changer, giving an unfair advantage. I look forward to honing my networking & organization skills to build invaluable databases. I'm excited to continue this journey and share the insights I gain along the way.

If you made it past "ditch day" or "quitter's day"....👏 According to Forbes, "the average resolution lasts just 3.74 months." Remember - New Year resolutions really aren't all that different from business goals. Some goals are lofty (i.e. net-zero GHG). That doesn't mean they're unachievable or pointless. It's a target. You've got your sights set. Do the hard work. Stretch yourself. Get up if you fall down. Set PRACTICAL milestones. Use achievement of that progress as fuel to keep going. PARTNER with your ecosystem (friends, family, colleagues) for support! You/We CAN do it. #sustainability #healthylifestyle #organizationaleffectiveness #operationalimprovement #datacenter

Director of Business Operations | Strategic Planning w/RevOps Focus | Aspiring COO | Keynote Speaker and Author 🇩🇴🇺🇸
Today, I find myself saying a difficult goodbye to many wonderful colleagues and friends. Over the last few years, I’ve witnessed the constant whirlwind of layoffs and organizational changes that have swept through our industry, often leaving heartbreak and uncertainty in their wake. I’ve felt the weight of these changes personally, having been part of the layoffs at Red Hat last year. After 20 years in tech, the sadness of watching talented, hardworking people forced to leave has never gotten easier. It’s a repeating cycle of farewells that leaves a mark each time. In my latest article, “Turbulent Tech: Addressing the Consequences of Frequent Organizational Changes,” I dive deep into the personal and professional toll these changes take on all of us and why it’s time for a shift towards stability and intentional growth. I invite you to read and share your thoughts. Perhaps together, we can find a way to turn the tide. That said, if you see people showing up in your resume piles with SoftwareOne in their work experience, know that people from this organization show up every day wielding a wealth of skills and talent to do so much on their roles. I have had the honor of working with such talented people here and to see them go, I’m hoping they end up as partners and not competitors! https://lnkd.in/eKDMehMZ #TechIndustry #CorporateChanges #TechCommunity #womenintech #latinasintech #positiveoutlook #poderosa #teamwork #business

Excited to share our most recent episode of Brick by Brick, with my friend Ben Sabrin! Episode links in the comments below. Ben is currently head of sales at Weaviate, and is an OG in the world of OSS, infra, and PLG sales, with early roles at important companies and products like MongoDB JBoss and ngrok. I first befriended him and the rest of the team quickly when we acquired ScaleFT, the Zero Trust security company into Okta in 2018. Our chat was full of insights on a range of topics, which we'll also share out over the coming weeks. Some areas we covered: ✅ How he got into tech sales originally (hint: switched from recruiting) ✅ Why "extreme empathy" for customers is even more critical in infra/OSS ✅ Why timing of category creation, driven by computing waves, matters so much (along with an early team full of grit and hustle) ✅ How he defines "PLG" ✅ Why purpose-built products win when major technology shifts happen - like Vector DBs for AI projects ✅ What he looks for when he hires Please enjoy this one in between celebrating with friends and family over the Fourth of July! #garudaventures #brickbybrick
