"Always Challenge the Old Ways" is a core belief for us and keeps me inspired everyday to find inefficiencies and seek out opportunities in everything from our processes to our products and our people. Always having something new to work on with our every evolving company makes the job so interesting and can't wait to see what the next few years of ownership bring us! 🚀 What I’m most excited for about DPG: Getting to have a front row seat to building a business, especially one that intersects so many different industries, from marketing, digital, political, and more. Some highlights would be bringing on new staff and integrating them into our culture and helping them grow over time, developing more strategic ways of operating internally, and expanding our partnerships with others in the space through technology and products. It's an exciting time for us and eager to keep things moving.

Last week, I had the incredible opportunity to attend the London office opening of VaynerMedia and meet the legendary Gary Vaynerchuk in person. What struck me most was his contagious energy and genuine passion for helping others succeed. Despite his immense fame and packed schedule, he also took the time to connect with people, listen to pitches, answer questions, and share invaluable advice. His dedication to providing value both on and off-screen is truly quite remarkable. From following his content over the years, there are a few lessons I’ve learnt and it was great to hear them re-iterated last week. 1) Obsess over providing ridiculous value, not gathering vanity metrics. ✨ 2) Don't rely on luck – put in the work and grind until you've made your own luck. 💪 3) Build a personal brand around your authentic self and what you care about. 🎤 Success demands an unstoppable drive, a relentless commitment to creating value, and the conviction to stay true to yourself. Put in the hard work, persevere, and seize every opportunity. That's how aspirations become achievements. 🚀

Opportunities = Retention 37 years, 8 roles, and 1 amazing employee testimonial to motivate existing employees (and potential new ones) about how loyalty is rewarded. I won't pretend to know much about Superdrug's retention strategy, do they have great employee engagement? Regular PDP meetings? High investment in L&D? i'm not sure, but what i do know is this is will do wonders for their employer brand. It also shows if you hire the right person who aligns with your company values, vision, culture etc, you can't go far wrong. Bravo 👏

From my perspective, recognising and appreciating staff is essential for keeping talented people. When a company truly values its team, it creates a positive work environment that boosts morale and helps retain employees. I’ve found that showing appreciation not only makes employees happier but also improves their performance and the company’s success. Please do acknowledge the hard work! For me, valuing staff is a crucial part of ensuring long-term success.

Just wanted to share a bit of what's been cooking on my end in 2024. 👩🚀 📱 💻 It's been quite the journey, focusing on smoothing the road ahead for the incredible startups I am working with and balancing fangirling and strategical support of products that will shape the world tomorrow. It's all about encouraging clinical experts to strengthen their authority through data-backed-up decisions. And yes, it's a wall to drill sometimes. I've recently wrapped up my adventures at Product Faculty, and oh boy, what an experience it was! Working alongside the brightest Product Leaders from across the globe was the 2023 highlight. 👯 The biggest takeaway? When a group is truly engaged and inspired, the sky's the limit. It's incredible how much you can achieve when everyone's rowing in the same direction. And speaking of achievements, guess what just showed up? The trophy! Unauthorized sources report that the Product Faculty budget was slightly strained by intercontinental shipping fees, who would have expected a European group to score? Thanks, guys, for going "above and beyond" in this case. 🏆 🏆 It's like the universe's way of winking, reminding me of the power of teamwork and shared dreams. It's sitting like a happy cat on my shelf now, a shiny testament to what we can accomplish together. Dana Calbosa, William Wheeler, Henry Sinclair (father by now?) - I will always refer to you if it's about a blueprint of effective collaboration! Just wanted to share these little milestones and thoughts with you. Here's to making more dreams a reality, one step at a time. Cheers to a fantastic year ahead for all of us!
