With 2024 right around the corner, we are wrapping up the year with a celebration of our accomplishments over the past year. As for many other businesses, 2023 was a challenging year but there were wins [ or moments] along the way that are worth recognizing! In spite of a few hurdles along the way, here are some of the big wins that CTRS achieved this year: 1. Our team completed over 30 client projects helping them answer complex business questions and overcome challenges. 2. In January, we were selected as one of the2023 Real Leaders Impact Award Winners. 3. In the spring, we became a LGBT+ Business Enterprise with the CGLCC. 4. In the summer, we joined the Community of Accessible Employers. 5. We celebrated another year of being a Certified Living Wage Employer; a commitment to the continued well-being and prosperity of all our employees. 6. Recently, we announced a new partnership with Beeloud to support startups on their journey to success. 7. We worked on projects across 10 different industries this year including, public sector, energy, manufacturing, financial services and non-profits, to name a few. Looking ahead to 2024, we are excited for what adventures the New Year will bring to us. We can't wait to continue growing and learning, and uncovering the opportunities that lie ahead for us and our clients. Wishing you all a prosperous 2024!

Embracing Inclusion: Unveiling the Power of Assistive Technology I had the incredible opportunity to attend the "Ability in Tech" event organized by Nasscom Global Inclusion, the conversations about the transformative impact of assistive technology on diverse abilities were indeed insightful. Assistive technology is not just about devices; it's about breaking barriers, fostering independence, and creating a more inclusive society. Its significance cannot be overstated - it reduces dependency on formal health services, long-term care, and the burden on caregivers. Without it, individuals face exclusion, isolation, and a heightened risk of poverty, intensifying the impact of disease and disability. At NeuroGifted® we believe that for neurodivergents, assistive technology opens doors to financial independence, enabling them to lead wholesome, fruitful lives without being relegated to the fringes of society. The discussions at the summit were both enlightening and inspiring. First annual Women in Financial Markets (WIFM) conference. My key messages in the closing fireside chat keynote, brilliantly moderated by Jacqueline Mesa, touched upon learnings from my roles as an engineer, product leader, business leader, investor and entrepreneur: 🧧 Career journey: A unifying theme across my roles comes from my fav poster from the Facebook days: “What would you do if you weren’t afraid?” Gen Z will have 5-7 careers in their lifetime. Not 5-7 jobs; 5-7 careers! 🧧Gender biases: They don’t go away as one gets more senior. It’s like going to the gym. “It never gets easier. You just get stronger and the challenges get more complex.” As you get more senior though, it especially behooves us to speak out and drive the change we want to see. 🧧Technology: Never before has there been so much innovation and so many major tech trends happening at the same time. Seek community to help you stay on top of technology — like the wonderful WIFM community, and lead from the front — we need all the diversity and all bright minds to drive innovative, ethical, human-centered products and services. Day 4 – instead of an aspirational message failing to drive tangible outcomes – here is another high-impact, practical, tested tactic to drive results.  COUNT.   Count how many women are entry level.   How many are in promotion cycles.   How many are laid off.   Assess compensation, and check for equity. AnitaB.org – the largest women in tech organization shared this data at the Grace Hopper Conference last year: in the last 3 years, women represented nearly 50% of layoffs in tech.    But…we were only 28% of tech to begin with.  That means that for every man who lost a role, 2 women were lost, and there was already a shortage in the first place.  On a broader scale, The Global Gender Report (in its 17th year) reports numbers showing the US fell to 43rd in gender equity of 146 countries – falling more than 16 spots in a single year. The truth is in the numbers.   You might feel like you are doing well; the data will tell you. Credit to DEI leaders I have seen track numbers and impact:  Corey Flournoy, Yemi Akisanya, Kristy Braden, Bo Young Lee 이보영 and to organizations that provide us with a critical objective perspective through data: Lean In, AnitaB.org , Global Gender Report, Planned Parenthood Federation of America and others. “Unexpected Inspiration” Day 3 of our orientation was beyond my wildest expectations! Tech4Dev has truly outdone themselves, and I'm here to share the incredible journey we've embarked on. We were fortunate to have some remarkable guest speakers who not only inspired us but also pushed us to dream bigger and reach higher. Mrs. Adaora Ikenza set an exceptionally high bar with her impactful goodwill message, packing 6 hours of wisdom into just 10 minutes. Her words set the tone for the day, encouraging us to embrace the mindset of champions. Let's not forget the dynamic Joke Akintara, a product lead at Fanbants, who radiated confidence and knowledge. Her talk on Impostor Syndrome and its impact on personal and professional growth was an eye-opener. I walked away with valuable insights, including the powerful messages that "Sharing isn't boosting," "Teaching is a weapon," and "Timidity makes you an underachiever." The presence of accomplished alumni from the class of '23, who happened to be wives, mothers, and pregnant women, was truly inspiring. They shared their challenges, coping strategies, and unyielding resilience in pursuing their goals. One of the program's major highlights was the session on handling sexual harassment and gender-based violence, led by Elizabeth Williams, Executive Director of Sustainable Impacts and Development Initiative, and Dorothy Njemanze, Executive Director of the Dorothy Njemanze Foundation. This session was an eye-opener and a testament to the importance of addressing these critical issues. I want to extend heartfelt gratitude to Tech4Dev and Microsoft for providing us with this incredible opportunity to learn from these brilliant minds and empowering us to become women in tech.
