In recognition of Alzheimer's & Brain Awareness Month, we are excited to highlight novel research that could pave the way for new neurological treatments for diseases like Alzheimer's. A recent publication from Scripps Research Institute has identified new proteins involved in Alzheimer's progression. Utilizing a novel single-cell patch-clamp/proteomics platform, researchers analyzed the electrical patterns and protein levels of individual neurons. They discovered nearly 50 proteins that are differentially expressed in Alzheimer's neurons compared to healthy ones. These findings open exciting avenues for follow-up studies to investigate the potential of these proteins as new drug targets to treat or slow Alzheimer's disease. https://lnkd.in/gyjcxGSF #ENDALZ #Proteomics
