Immunizations play a vital role in global public health by preventing the spread of diseases. Despite the benefits, increasing vaccine uptake can be challenging. This is especially true for illnesses like the flu where people may be reluctant to keep up with recommended annual vaccinations. New research from Oregon Health & Science University offers hope for a universal flu vaccine. By targeting a stable internal viral protein, this novel approach offers a “one and done” solution that could offer lifetime immunity. If successful, this platform has the potential to change the vaccination landscape. https://lnkd.in/gxtT6NHp At Discovery, we recognize the importance of immunization and are committed to supporting researchers worldwide with high-quality products and services to advance vaccine development. #NationalImmunizationAwarenessMonth #Vaccines

Vaccination is a fundamental component of contemporary medicine and has greatly enhanced national public health and well-being. Smallpox and polio, two illnesses previously common in our nation, have been eliminated, thanks to vaccinations and their relentless drive for awareness and prevention. Vaccines have also been essential in the fight against other serious illnesses such as cervical cancer, pneumonia, influenza and recently in the fight against COVID-19. The celebration of this momentous event on 16th March annually serves as a platform to educate people about the importance of vaccination to avoid spreading various health problems. ISRN through its MOMENTUM Routine Immunization Project strives to sustain the country's progress towards achieving complete immunization, eliminating preventable diseases, and promoting the importance of timely vaccination in securing a promising future for children nationwide. #ISRN #VaccinationDay #Immunisation #Vaccines #nationalvaccinationday #vaccinationssaveslives #VaccinesForAll #ProtectAndPrevent #Vaccination #VaccinesWork
