Disney+'s streaming debut was a lightning strike, amassing 100 million users worldwide in a measly 24 months. This achievement is even more impressive considering they doubled their own ambitious target (60-90 million) and did it way faster than streaming kingpin Netflix, who took a whole decade to reach the same milestone in a less crowded market. In the first quarter of 2024, the number of global Disney+ subscribers increased to 149.6 million. Get ready, streaming fans - two media giants are joining forces to shake up the content landscape. Disney and Warner Bros. Discovery just announced they're launching a new bundled streaming service that will include Disney+, Hulu, and the new Max platform this summer. The companies haven't revealed pricing or an exact release date yet, but the bundle will offer both ad-free and ad-supported options.
