💹 3DPrinterOS's track record of printing millions of parts tells a bit about our expertise, and the reliability of our solutions in real-world applications! With that in mind, we're glad to share some more troubleshooting tips for anyone just getting started with 3D printing. Understanding the root causes can really help. One frequent problem is poor adhesion, where prints fail to stick to the bed. This can happen if the bed isn’t level, the nozzle is too high or low, or if the bed surface is dirty. Make sure you're starting with a clean, level bed, and adjust the nozzle height. You may also need to use adhesives or increase the bed temperature a little. Another common issue is warping. This means the corners of a print lift off the bed. This usually results from uneven cooling or poor bed adhesion. To prevent warping, use a heated bed and maintain consistent ambient temperature around the printer. You might also need to add a brim or raft to the print, which can provide more surface area, and help to keep the print securely attached to the bed. Stringing, where thin strands of filament appear between parts of a print, is really frustrating and is often due to high print temperatures or the wrong retraction settings. Lowering the print temperature and optimizing retraction settings in the slicer can reduce stringing. You'll also want to store filament in a dry environment, as moisture can exacerbate this issue. Just don't give up! 3D printing is very rewarding. Yes it has a learning curve, but keep practising and you'll get the hang of it.
