Concrete removal has never been a particularly “green” process. Harsh chemicals leach into the environment, dust clouds pollute the air, and most of the waste ends up in a landfill. But it doesn’t have to be that way. Dissolvacrete’s chemical-free process minimises impact at every stage. No toxic runoff, reduced waste, and safer air quality—it’s a solution that respects the planet as much as it does your project. The environmental case is clear: the future of concrete removal has to be cleaner. And with Dissolvacrete, it already is. Simple. Safe. Effective. #concreteremoval #sitesafety #construction

We are steadfast in our commitment to prioritising environmental practices in every aspect of our operations. Our dedication to sustainability and ecological responsibility is evident in the innovative methods we employ, and the rigorous standards we uphold. Our recent project at the West Gate Bridge, we employed non-toxic chemical water blast methods to effectively strip piers 10, 11 and 12 coatings back to the bare substrate. This approach not only facilitated the client's remediation and recoating efforts but ensured compliance with stringent EPA guidelines for the classification and safe removal of wastewater. To achieve these results, we selected an environmentally safe chemical, the non-toxic solution demonstrates our commitment to reducing environmental impact. We also implemented a comprehensive wastewater management system. By encapsulating the scaffold and creating a bunding around the base, we were able to effectively collect and manage wastewater. This water was continuously managed using water pumps that directed it into two 10,000-liter water tanks. A waste collection company then regularly emptied these tanks 2-3 times a day, ensuring optimal waste management and environmental protection. #industrial #abrasiveblasting #coating #scaffolding #construction

The decontamination or dredging of contaminated sediments at the bottom of a water body poses a complex challenge. In such situations, it is crucial to prevent the remobilisation of pollutants so as not to contaminate downstream and neighbouring watercourses. For this purpose, the bottom of the watercourse can be lined with a filter layer made of innovative geocomposites. An active cover acts as a reliable barrier for pollutants and allows water to flow through, maintaining the essential exchange of surface and groundwater. Advantages of sediment capping: - Faster to implement and quickly reduces exposure and related risks - Avoidance of pollutant carryover through remobilisation - Low transportation and waste volumes - Dimensioning/simulation is possible using software - Proven environmentally friendly alternative, reducing disruptions to the environment Contact SAMIR SEHNEM today for further information and/or to learn more about the Tektoseal Active range.

Stormwater Management with the Enviro H Series At Enviro, we are passionate about stormwater and giving the best solution to capture and clean our most precious natural resource. To facilitate this, we have upgraded our former ‘E Series’ to include our EN858-1 compliant oil/water separator as standard and have made our H Series the optimal system for both Commercial and Industrial applications. Oils are present everywhere and in order to comply with sustainable practices, we need to aim for 0% hydrocarbons in our waterways. The Enviro H Series is designed and manufactured for the removal of pollutants including oils from run-off water. Installed in-line within new or existing drainage pipes with the ability to be installed in an open channel if required. Our H Series has a unique, certified oil/water separator function as well as a stormwater quality improvement device (SQID) which has undergone extensive performance stress testing by independent authorities. These tests comply with EPA Legislation and Guidelines which prohibit the discharge of pollutants into stormwater. The aim of the H Series is to restore water quality to a safe and environmentally sustainable state, which pre-existed urbanisation. Enviro’s H Series is the optimal EPS for high impact catchments where the likelihood of oil spillage is present and/or downstream sensitive wetlands need to be protected. #Sustainability #GreenBuilding #RecyclableMaterials #EcoFriendly #WaterManagement #CircularEconomy #ConstructionInnovation #EnvironmentalProtection #LifeCycle #WasteReduction #SustainableSolutions #EcoTech #BuildingTheFuture #WaterConservation #ClimateAction #AustralianOwned #Engineers #CivilEngineering #SaveOurWater #NoPlanetB #Stormwater #CleanWater

Why is it important to properly dispose Construction and Demolition Waste? Proper disposal of Construction and Demolition (C&D) waste is crucial for several reasons that encompass environmental protection, public health, economic efficiency, and regulatory compliance. C&D waste refers to debris generated from the construction, renovation, or demolition of buildings and infrastructure. This type of waste often includes materials like concrete, wood, metals, plastics, and hazardous substances, each posing distinct disposal challenges.
