“Aside from the fact that Super 8 isn’t a cheap way to capture memories it sure does make the simplest fleeting moments feel pretty darn special. 🎥❤️ My Super 8 tips: -You can buy super 8 on fb market place, Etsy or eBay. They are a vintage camera so some aren’t in working order so ask the seller to send you test footage before you buy. -You’ll need film. I use Kodak Vision 3 colour neg 50D. The 50 refers to the sensitivity of the film- so this is the least sensitive to light for shooting in fairly bright scenarios. The D refers to daylight meaning the film is colour balanced to daylight situations. You can get film that is more sensitive to light (for darker situation’s) as well as T (tungsten) balanced. - You’ll only get about 2.5mins of footage on 1 roll of film and unfortunately it’s very expensive! Roughly $50 per roll + developing and scanning can be $40-80 per roll!) -Camera models vary but overall they are super easy to use. You don’t need to understand exposure or anything too technical! -You can take the film out of the camera at anytime because it’s protected by the case it comes in. To check the film is advancing use a black marker to draw a small dot on the film. Shoot 2-3 seconds of footage and check the film to see if the dot has advanced. -They’re manual focus and rely on your distance to the subject. Many cameras have zoom features also. I get all my super 8 developed at NanoLab in Daylesford, Victoria, Australia.” Featured artist @alexandrenaparker #ClassicsMagazine Submit Your Photography 🔗 in Bio ↑ Follow us @ClassicsFilmClub Curated by @ClassicsMagazine See more here: Classics-Magazine.com #super8 #8mmfilm #super8film #photography #SpecialFilm #filmcamera #filmphoto #8mm #filmisalive #filmphotography #film #colornegative #analogphotography #filmmaking #thefilmcommunity #streetphotography #grainisgood #cinematicphotography #filmmaker #analogfilm #vision3 #24fps #vintagefilm #cinematiclook #filmcommunity #super8mm #cinematographer #500t #filmisbetter

The three-point light technique is commonly used in photography and cinematography to create balanced, three-dimensional lighting. It consists of three main light sources: 1. **Main Light (Key Light):** This is the main light that illuminates the object or person. Usually positioned at the front and slightly to the side, it defines the shape and provides most of the lighting. 2. **Fill Light:** Used to soften the shadows created by the main light, the fill light is placed on the opposite side of the main light. Its purpose is to reduce contrast and ensure that darker areas still receive some lighting. 3. **Contrast Light (Back Light or Rim Light):** Positioned behind the object or subject, the contrast light highlights the edges and creates a luminous contour. This helps separate the object from the background, providing a sense of three-dimensionality. Together, these three light sources help create a well-lit and visually appealing image. #lighting #3d #render #valorant

My favorite part about being a photographer is telling the visual stories, especially when the viewer gets to feel like they're being let in on a secret. This is a good article for photographers just starting out. It's important to not be shy about asking people for what you need to get the shot, especially at an event that won't be recreated.
