• Supporting the Next Generation of Land & Environment Professionals • Knighton Countryside Management has proudly supported Dorset Studio School since it was just a kernel of an idea—a vision sparked by educationalists and parents passionate about helping their children pursue careers in the land and environment sectors. Fast forward to today and hundreds of students have benefited from the school’s unique, hands-on approach to learning. Wednesday was another fantastic day in our partnership: the ‘Employer Engagement Day’, where the Knighton team joined 15 other businesses to give students a glimpse into real-world opportunities. We brought along two of our Ditch Witchs, offering students hands-on experience with this incredible piece of plant and machinery. Our mechanics explained hydraulics, valves and engines. Mary, one of our employees and a Studio School graduate, alongside Mark Gibbens taught students how to manoeuvre, pick up pallets and load a flatbed trailer, showcasing the equipment's versatility. The enthusiasm was infectious—the students had a fantastic time and so did we! Our connection to Dorset Studio School runs deep: • Over 10% of our team are alumni. • We offer work placements, train apprentices, and employ graduates. • Mark Gibbens, our Director, proudly serves on the Board of Governors.
