No ! No ! I am Gujju....! Yes, I am a Gujarati girl, but I wore a traditional Marathi saree during the Visarjan festival at our workplace. Some of my office mates asked me if I was Marathi because I looked entirely like one. So, why do we embrace different cultures and their appearances?" . People adopt different cultures and their looks for various reasons: Respect and Inclusivity: By participating in the traditions of another culture, you're showing respect and appreciation for their heritage. It promotes inclusivity and understanding among diverse communities. Personal Interest: Many individuals have a genuine interest in learning about and experiencing other cultures. They may find the clothing, rituals, and traditions fascinating and beautiful. Work or Social Environment: In a workplace or social setting where people from various cultural backgrounds come together, participating in different cultural events can create a sense of unity and camaraderie. Family and Relationships: Some people adopt different cultural practices due to personal connections. For instance, if you have friends or family members from a different culture, you might engage in their traditions to bond and connect on a deeper level. Celebration of Diversity: It's a way to celebrate the diversity that makes our world so unique. It allows us to learn from one another and appreciate the beauty in our differences. Ultimately, adopting different cultures and their looks is a way to promote harmony, acceptance, and unity in our increasingly multicultural society.

Oh, here we go again! First, they ask for your expected salary and current salary, Acting like they can totally meet it. Then, after 4-5 rounds of interviews, suddenly they say, “Oh, we don’t have the budget for this role.” Ah yes, because it took half a dozen meetings to discover your financial limits. Classic!

My confidence has faded... As a kid, I was that loud, confident child who loved grabbing the mic Whether it was for singing, storytelling, or being dramatic. I thrived on that energy, even though it wasn’t always understood or appreciated by those around me. Over time, those judgments started to sink in, and I found myself turning to writing as an outlet, hiding behind the name yayawargi Yayawargi - a name no one from my personal life could recognize. Through that alias, I found appreciation and engagement from complete strangers. Social media became a platform where I could share my voice without the fear of judgment. I even got opportunities as a copywriter for big brands and tried my hand at RJ auditions. But life, as it often does, took its twists and turns. A chance to be an anchor slipped away due to personal circumstances, And as responsibilities piled on, my time with the mic became less and less frequent. It’s now been over six months since I last touched a mic, and I’ll be honest: my confidence has faded. I often find myself doubting if I can still stand in front of a crowd and speak like I used to. Low self-esteem has crept in where confidence used to thrive. But here’s what I’ve learned: confidence is a muscle, and like any muscle, it needs practice to regain strength. I’ve done it before, and I know deep down, I can do it again. So, for anyone else out there who’s stepped away from something they love—whether it’s a passion, a hobby, or even a career—know that it’s okay to take that first small step back. It doesn’t have to be perfect. We can always rediscover parts of ourselves that we thought were lost. Here’s to picking up the mic again, one step at a time. 🎤 #ConfidenceJourney #RediscoveringMyPassion #GrowthMindset #SelfEsteem #PublicSpeaking #WritingToSpeaking #OpenMic

A Real-Life Debate on the Toughest Job Last night, I found myself in the middle of an unexpected debate between my father-in-law and mother-in-law. The topic? Whose work is tougher – managing household finances and earning money, or maintaining a home and taking care of a family? They asked me to weigh in, given my experience in both worlds – working a full-time job, managing finances, and handling household chores. Without a second thought, I said, "The homemaker's work is tougher." My father-in-law argued passionately, "Going out every day, rain or shine, dealing with workload and constant brainstorming, and earning money for the family is no easy task." And he’s right – it’s challenging. I've been doing it for over five years. But here’s the difference: within a month of starting a new job, you settle in. Most workplaces have a welcoming nature, and at the end of each month, you have a salary in your account. You can spend it, save it, or use it for things you wish for. But for a homemaker? It’s a different story. From waking up early, cooking meals, cleaning, washing clothes, taking care of every family member, and countless other tasks – there’s no end to it. And despite all the hard work, you still have to ask for money from your husband or father. And if, by chance, you make a small mistake, you face taunts and disrespect that overshadow all the good you’ve done for the entire year. Reflecting further, I realized that I am not as experienced in managing household chores as my mother or mother-in-law, who have perfected it over 30-40 years. My upbringing focused on academics – school for 5 hours, 4 hours of tuition, And then my CA studies, where finding time to sleep was a luxury. My mother never forced me to learn household work, and soon after, I was busy building my career because CA wasn't working for me. And within a few years, my parents arranged my marriage at the 'right age.' So, here I am, learning to balance it all. Just as foreigners find Indian food spicy, yet we see it as normal, my cooking, based on my taste buds, doesn’t always hit the mark. And let’s not forget the unique challenges of being a working woman – juggling both a boss at the office and a mother at home. At work, the boss complains, "You’re always in a hurry to leave, and your home life is affecting your efficiency." At home, the in-laws think, "You’re out all day, not contributing enough to housework, and not taking family responsibilities seriously." Balancing everything, still being told you’re not good enough for anything… To every woman managing this tightrope walk, you are truly incredible. Your strength, resilience, and dedication make you a superwoman. #RespectHomemakers #UnsungHeroes #WorkIsWork #EmpathyMatters #BalanceIsKey #LifeLessons #LearningEveryDay #SupportEachOther

Yesterday on social media, I heard this song, and I felt so inspired! It's such a powerful anthem about embracing your true self and breaking free from expectations. I love how it captures the moment of realizing your own strength and the fun, Carefree spirit that comes with it. The lyrics are a perfect reminder to be unapologetically yourself and to never forget your worth. It’s a refreshing celebration of confidence and freedom! ================================================== I was nineteen in a white dress When you told me I'm your princess So I played right in to your fantasy Was your good girl, so I'd sit tight And if I don't speak, then we can't fight Looked in the mirror, now I can't believe I forgot I was a bad bi**h, tragic Breaking all the rules 'cause they were only habits 😑
