Scrabble is changing to make it more gen-z friendly, more collaborative and less intimidating. Unsurprisingly there are a lot of reactions saying that it doesn't need changing and 'it was fine back in my day'. I think that offering an alternative play style is no bad thing, why should there be a negative reaction to more options? I would love to see the research that led up to this point. We know that gen-z have some very different attitudes and expectations and it is interesting to see this playing out in game design.
