I did a thing last November-December!!! I applied for a 4-week Investor Readiness Series course by Seed Spot; and what a blast I had. E-meeting with over 80 MWF alumni bi-weekly to learn was such an experience to treasure (from as far back as 2016 - I felt like such a baby MWF ha-ha). We learnt about what it means to be investor ready; from building a basic financial model and budget for your business, fundraising, how to sell and finally, we had a cool networking session with industry leaders. One of the biggest take-aways from all this goodness was that nothing is stopping you from going after your vision, whatever it may be. If you don't have the background, track record, expertise or knowledge, PARTNER WITH SOMEONE WHO DOES. You don't have to do it alone. In reaching out, you realise that there is someone always willing to work with you and lend their credibility to your venture. And after all was said and done, and I had collected some emails from people I'd be honoured to partner with in the near future: I GOT MY BADGE. Certified. Forever grateful.
