This is a great talk with 10 easy tips to having better conversations. The biggest takeaway for me was that we all need to listen better and quit multitasking if we want to have good conversations. As a person in sales, I recognize that I probably have better conversations with customers than I do in my personal life sometimes because I am actively listening to customer needs so that I can assist in solving problems. Give it a try today. Listen to the next person that takes the time to speak to you instead of just waiting for your next turn to talk. Learn to listen and how to get into dialog and talking will make you amazed , be prepared for it.

Really great talk on the importance of a conversation and conversation skill. It is the skill that schools or universities or work places do not teach. In previous decades, all elitist private schools had conversationalist abilities in their standard curriculum (maybe still do, worth checking 😀), as it was always very obvious to the elites that language is power.. Today, many children and adults find it hard to articulate their thoughts and emotions in a spoken language and in social, formal and even informal situations. Socio-economic disadvantage contributes to it. Speaking to a person in front of us may be too overwhelming and even impossible to many. There are also neurodivergent and emotional obstacles that make conversations harder. Yet learning how to do it would be worth it! Not to gain power and position, but to understand the other and ourselves better.
