Here's to clients considering "left-field" candidates. More often than not, companies want candidates that tick all the boxes on a resume, looking at how candidates ''appear'' and what they can do. What about what they will do, just because they can do it, without the right attitude, will they do it, this is the level of detail we go into to ensure values = behaviour and attitude to want to do the job. Way to many times companies miss out on amazing candidates because they don't tick all the boxes. Well done Nicole Villanueva (Pilla) for constantly proving to your clients that candidates with potential and the right attitude are better than candidates that tick the boxes on a resume, however, don't demonstrate the correct behaviours and willingness to really want to do the job, add value and contribute in the way that's expected. For those of you that are starting on working from home, here's why staffing agencies suck: 1. They do not make the decision to hire you You will be excited that you passed the first interview only for them to tell you the client did not want to continue with the process 2. They take a big cut in your pay rate The clients will pay the agency about 10 to 15 an hour and the agency will only pay you about 4 to 8 max an hour 3. They do not care about how you receive your money They will tell you their payment methods and it's up to you to make sure you pay all fees and make sure to open accounts for said payment methods even tho it is their responsibility as employers to make sure you get paid. 4. Little opportunity for growth Sure there may be a few lucky that were able to grow but since clients are small companies, there is very little opportunity for you to grow within the company.
