IF I ONLY HAVE A WEEK EXPERIENCE AND IT'S A PART-TIME TEMP JOB HOW DO I WRITE MY RESUME. JUST PUT THE JOB DOWN AND DESCRIBE WHAT YOU ARE DOING. I TOLD THEM I AM A CLERK/TYPIST AND I AM TYPING THE LABELS AND THEN I PUT THE VIDEO INSIDE THE PACKAGE AND PUT THE LABEL AND BULK STAMP READY FOR SHIPPING. IS THIS RESUME INTERESTING? I DON'T KNOW BUT I THINK IT IS. CLERK/TYPIST WAS A COMMON POSITION AND POPULAR POSITION THE 70s. IS IT EASY TO GET A CLERK/TYPIST JOB? YOU TELL ME. YOU NEED TO PASS THE TYPING TEST AND DO YOU THINK IT IS EASY TO PASS THE TEST? HOW FAST DO YOU TYPE? I TYPED 80 WPM ACCORDING TO THE COMPUTER AT USF. THE TELETYPE TOLD ME THAT WHEN I TOOK A TEST FOR FUN USING THEIR TOOL. THE TELETYPE KEYBOARD IS THE SAME AS THE TYPING KEYBOARD THAT'S WHY I CAN TYPE FAST. IF THEY ARE DIFFERENT THEN I HAVE TO SLOW DOWN TO GET ACCURACY.

TYPING 'I AM INTERESTED' on a job advert does not get you a job. The company employing is not going to contact you because you have said you are interested UNLESS the post specifically says type I am interested in the comment session which is not always the case. Following application instructions gets you closer to a job I have seen so many people type 'I am interested' under a job advert and then get surprised when you don't get a job. APPLY - that is the right procedure. #jobsearch

5 days ago, I saw this great idea of a post that would help keep me organized and focused in my job search, today i have a working data entry application I’m using to help in this process. As of now I’ve tracked the 3 jobs I’ve applied to today and I plan on adding some features to this application to make it even more user friendly. Here’s what I’ve added so far: Columns - Date, Company, Job Title, Recritier Name, Email, Did i have a referral, Status. Site that I’m using to apply to jobs Repeatable job details that I can copy and paste like social links, emails, name etc. Here’s what I plan to add: Cover letter drafting based on job description - I think being able to draft a cover letter fast wouldn’t hurt. Id still have to edit it but having a solid foundation and a place to start would benefit I believe. Columns - resume i used, date i heard back from job. I have to say, I still love API’s😂 this wouldn’t be possible without them. Also thank you Edward Oberlton for the great idea!

Ridiculous job application questions rant... part 1. Please help me elaborate on the useless and archaic nature of job application questions. 1. How did you hear about this position? How does that identify a more qualified applicant? 2. Please indicate your minimum annual salary expectations? Shouldn't the job just provide the salary band to avoid an applicant from applying in the first place? Your issue isn't that applicants will have lower expectations- you're trying to filter out the applicants with greater needs. 3. Phone Device Type (Home/Mobile)? In 2024, does this really matter? What significance does this have on the application process? Don't tell me it is because you want to know if you can text. The applicant did the legwork of filling out the application- you can give them a call. 4. Have you ever worked for company X? / Are you currently employed by X? Really? Do some leg work. They filled out the application and you opened it, if the skills match the job, this is a non-issue. 5. List your social network URLs? Are. You. Kidding. Me. What possible relevance could this have on the application process when you are asking the question 4? You don't even know who works for you, why would you need to know someone's social media URL? 6. What is the earliest possible start date? Why don't we just assume it is 2 weeks from offer? Are candidates really giving you start dates 2 months in the future? If I told you I could start tomorrow would that impact your screening decision? Filter the applicants before they fill out the application. That doesn't mean ask for 7 years of experience for an entry level job, that means defining a brief list of essential requirements in the JD. Rant done.

💼 Rethinking the Job Application Process I recently came across a post that raised an important question: Why are we still asking outdated and often irrelevant questions on job applications? In 2024, it’s time to reconsider whether generic questions like “How did you hear about this job?” or “What type of phone device do you use?” add any real value to the recruitment process. These types of questions highlight a broader issue—the need for a more efficient, focused approach in hiring. The goal should be to identify candidates who are genuinely suited for the role, based on their skills, experience, and mindset, rather than putting them through redundant hoops. At Potis.ai, we’re working to make hiring simpler and more effective. Our platform leverages AI-driven screening and behavioral assessments to move beyond outdated questions and help companies find the right talent faster. By streamlining the process, we aim to create a hiring experience that’s relevant, respectful, and efficient for everyone involved. Isn’t it time for a recruitment process that better serves both candidates and employers? #HiringProcess #Recruitment #PotisAI #ModernHiring #HRTech #EfficiencyInHiring

With the advancement of technology, be very careful when you see job advertisements. Do a bit of reading and #FactCheck before you send your applications. There's a lot of scammers creating fake job links and job vacancy advertisements. If you want to send your application, you should only send a CV. And when they request your supporting documents, then you can send. Some people are editing certificates to make copies for themselves. I noticed this during my tenure as a HR staff. Be vigilant people. #JobSeekers

Does it feel like you will never get a job? Searching for a job can feel like a full-time job, so how do you increase your chances of being noticed? You need to treat it seriously and be efficient with your job application process, understanding what keywords to use to beat the Applicant Tracking System (ATS). Here are some helpful job application tips: ⭐Focus on one job application at a time. ⭐Print the job and person specification off together with your CV or bring these up on your phone/tablet or PC. ⭐Write down the key skills required for the job vacancy. ⭐Press control and "F" on your keyboard and type out the first key skill from the job spec and count how many times the key skill appears in your CV. If you do not have access to a PC, you can carry this out manually. You may find only a couple of key words in your CV or not at all. Jot down how many times the key words appear in your CV. You need to ensure the key words are appearing at least four or more times throughout your CV to beat the applicant tracking system or manual sift. ⭐ Think about what you have wrote in your employment history and your key skills and if these match the essential job requirements. What else can you add to the CV to strengthen your application. ⭐Ensure your CV is clear, concise and has a strong personal profile. ⭐Ensure your CV has a professional email address and correct contact details. ⭐Carry out a proofreading check before you submit your CV to ensure there are no errors or omissions. ⭐ Consider supporting your job application with a cover letter to highlight your fit for the role. www.myprofessionalcv.co.uk #cvtips #cvwriting #cv #cvwriter #myprofessionalcv #professionalcv #jobs
