Common issues associated with marble, they typically involve maintenance and durability concerns. Here are some frequent problems: - Staining: Marble is porous and can easily absorb liquids, leading to stains. Common staining agents include wine, coffee, and acidic substances like lemon juice. - Etching: Acidic substances can react with the calcium carbonate in marble, causing dull spots known as etches. This is especially common with kitchen countertops. To mitigate these issues, proper care and maintenance are essential. Regular sealing, careful cleaning, and prompt attention to spills can help maintain marble's beauty and durability. All marble sealers on the market primarily protect against water and oil stains but not etching. What does it mean.? Marble surfaces can still be stained with wine etc. and etched from acid liquids.

Did you know? You can use a pumice stone to clean your flat-top stove! READ BELOW ⬇️⬇️⬇️ Yes, a pumice stone can be used to clean a flat top stove, particularly for stubborn, baked-on food residue, but it's crucial to only use it on a wet surface and to be very careful as it can scratch the stovetop if used improperly; always test on a small inconspicuous area first and make sure your flat top stove is made of a durable material like ceramic glass that can handle the scrubbing action of a pumice stone. Caution: Using Hand Soap with Citric Acid on Marble Surfaces Are you aware of the potential risks of using hand soap with citric acid on marble surfaces.? Marble, a beautiful and popular choice for countertops, is composed primarily of calcium carbonate. While citric acid is a common ingredient in many cleaning products and hand soaps due to its natural cleaning power, it can be harmful to marble surfaces. Why the concern? Citric acid, even in small amounts, can react with the calcium carbonate in marble, leading to etching, dull spots, or discoloration. This reaction can damage the polished finish and the overall appearance of your marble surfaces. Best Practices: • Avoid acidic cleaners: Always steer clear of cleaners containing citric acid, vinegar, or other acids. • Use pH-neutral cleaners: Opt for products specifically designed for marble to ensure safe and effective cleaning. • Quick action: If accidental contact occurs, rinse the surface immediately with plenty of water to reduce the risk of damage. If you want to continue enjoying your life and the products you love without worrying about your marble surfaces, we have the perfect solution for you.! Nicky and I disagreed on this. And I'm SO glad I won! It was the age-old argument 😅 Carpet or Laminate I'll admit it, I love wooden floors. 🤎 The way they look and the way they feel. And while a wooden floor isn't great for rentals because they're more difficult to maintain. There are so many more choices in terms of laminate and vinyl which work brilliantly. While install costs are higher than carpet, the life of them is SO much longer. Red wine spill, no problem. Coffee mishap, not an issue. Tomato soup incident, no evidence. Why do we expect tenants to be perfect! Where we have the choice to me it's a no-brain to go with a quality wipe-cleanable option rather than carpet. 🏠 How do you roll? carpet or laminate/vinyl etc? 🏠 #property #hmo #hmoheaven #hellishtoheavenly #womeninproperty #beagamechanger

Looking at this photo, you can distinguish between heartwood and sapwood?? When looking at raw wood, customers can identify core wood and sapwood by: + Color: The inside (wood core) is usually darker than the outside (wood grain). + Hardness: When impacting the wood core, you will feel hard, making it difficult to chip. On the contrary, the wood grain is easily scratched. + Smoothness: When cut, the core of the wood usually has a flat, glossy surface while the feel of the wood when cut usually has a certain roughness. #woodexport #timberimport #supply #wood #sapwood #hearwood #ktimber #woodangola

Did you know... 💡 That stainless steel can work wonders at eliminating stubborn odours from your fingers? When your hands smell from handling fish, onions, or garlic, the sulphuric compounds responsible for the odour can bind to stainless steel surfaces, effectively neutralising the smell. So, next time you're battling kitchen odours, instead of reaching for scented sprays, consider rubbing your hands against any stainless steel object you have handy.

🌎 North vs. South: The Walnut Debate! 👇 Not all walnuts are created equal! The origin of walnut wood matters significantly. For example, North American black walnut is renowned for its premium quality, durability, and beautiful grain, often commanding a higher price. In contrast, South American walnut tends to differ in performance and value. 👉 When buying, check the origin carefully. Beware of tricks like “walnut paint” or fake black walnut veneers used to mimic the real deal. Unmarked origins could mean you’re getting a substitute species.
