Say hello to our Encyclopedia Exhibition! 🖼 📚 Last month, our China team orchestrated our 50th Anniversary Nature Encyclopedia Exhibition in Beijing. We have partnered with CITIC Press Corporation - who publish our iconic Anthology Series, How Everything Works and the Explanatoriums among others. It will run for 3 months and the plan is to tour other cities in China in the future. The exhibition is an interactive experience based on content from the Anthology series introducing children to the amazing world of nature and science, including a VR trip through the solar system and a DK book or merchandise in the exhibition shop.  #publishing #exhibition #knowledge #adventure #anniversary

What if our scraps were used to make something wonderful? 📖 🎨 ✂ Our Sustainability Committee headed down to Work and Play Scrapstore this month to do just that. By inspiring upcycling in the local community, this charity is leading the way in creative approaches to waste reduction, and helping the local community and the environment at the same time. We are in constant conversation about how to reduce our waste, particularly the paper and cardboard sued to make our books. What would happen to you if you were suddenly thrown into a black hole? ☄️ Dr Matt Bothwell gave the answers to this question, and many, many more at his sold out event at The Royal Institution on Wednesday. This is after the release of his children’s book, Astrophysics for Supervillains, an evil guide to conquering outer space! 🚀🪐🦹 The venue was packed!
