SME Tunnels/Bridge/Rail Electrification

The Future of Tunnelling: Boring and Blasting Combined The construction industry is on the cusp of a revolution with the introduction of the new generation Boring Blasting Machine (#BBM), designed to enhance #tunnelling efficiency by an impressive 30%. This marvel of #engineering combines a powerful #boring mechanism with controlled #blasting techniques to navigate through challenging terrains with ease. At the forefront of this innovation is the machine’s high-torque, multi-edge cutting head, which grinds through rock with unparalleled precision. Its advanced sensors adapt to varying #geological conditions, ensuring optimal performance. The cutting head works in tandem with controlled blasting, where microcharges are strategically placed and detonated in a synchronized sequence, fracturing the rock to complement the boring process. This technological marvel is set to enhance tunnelling efficiency by an impressive 30%. Here’s an itemized look at its key features: High-Torque Cutting Head: -Utilizes a multi-edge design for precision grinding through rock. -Equipped with advanced sensors for adapting to geological changes. Controlled Blasting Techniques: -Employs microcharges placed strategically along the tunnel face. -Detonations are synchronized with the boring cycle for optimal fracturing. Environmental Sustainability: -Increased efficiency leads to #reduced energy consumption. -Lower carbon emissions align with global #environmental goals. Community-Friendly Operations: -A #noise reduction system minimizes impact on local communities. Continuous Tunnelling Process: -Reduces the downtime typically associated with traditional blasting. -Maintains structural integrity of the surrounding rock. Urban Project Viability: -Ensures safety and stability in densely populated areas. Economic and Social Benefits: -Faster #project completions lead to cost savings. -Less disruption to traffic and daily life. The new generation of boring-blasting machines combines precision cutting with controlled blasting. This dynamic duo accelerates tunneling, reduces environmental impact, and ensures safety. As we embrace this technology, we pave the way for a brighter, faster and eco-friendly future in construction.

As a representative of CRCHI in North America, I want to express our appreciation for your valuable insights. The BBM is currently undergoing rigorous testing and has already been successfully utilized in three projects, with four additional projects in the pipeline. Once the BBM is market-ready, I will share detailed information about the machine's specifications. We highly value your interest and feedback, and we encourage you to stay updated for further developments. Best regards, Keng

This machine blasting used Only for prefectures. That will need to High-Torque Cutting Head: -Utilizes a multi-edge design for precision grinding through rock. -Equipped with advanced sensors for adapting to geological changes.torque and force for mining and will production enhance.but according to @chris cooper sir what is the Max PPV for the TBM considering PlC and seal damage

So who makes this marvellous machine? Has it been 'road' tested to measure its performance in very strong, competent rock lithologies? Answers on a post card please.

Please have you any further detail on - What is the tnt equivalent weight ? - how do you drill the blast hole as a surface micro charge won’t be effective to fracture rock - what is the Max PPV for the TBM considering PlC and seal damage? Thanks
