🚚 Elevating load securing at EUMOS We were proud to participate in the event hosted by the European Safe Logistics Association. Presentation by Bart van Rens highlighted our commitment to safety in logistics through 3 key pillars: 🔹 Equipment design: We created unique XLS trailers, where -XL stands for mega size and -S for extra safety systems. 🔹 Driver training: Our 6-step training program empowers drivers through continuous learning and knowledge sharing. 🔹 On-the-spot instructions: We provide a library of resources to guide drivers in all load-securing scenarios. Together by sharing knowledge, we are advancing in cargo safety standards! 🤝

Why do you have to get so close, is a question we are asked by those on other courses who see us doing our accredited forklift training. The simple answer is because it is the standards but that doesn't answer the question. Think back to when you learned to drive or if you have not learned to drive then look at learners on the road. If learner drivers were trained to only drive on wide open, empty streets, they would be extremely dangerous when they went into towns and cities and other crowded areas. Candidates on forklifts should be taught the basics of steering in wide open spaces, but that space should be reduced as confidence and skills grow, we then take the space down, so that the candidates are working to minimal distances of 3 inches 75mm up to no more than 12 inches 300mm depending on the task and truck. Doing this allows the candidate to gain skills and grow in confidence, it helps them realise they can drive around the tight spaces they work in safely. #RTITB #STANDARDS #SAFETYFIRST #TRAININGPETERBOROUGH #

New Change’s to drivers CPC given the Green Light On Tuesday 29th October the government, made changes to the driver’s certificate of professional competence (DCPC) training requirements. The amendments included a cut to the minimum length of the training modules from seven to 3.5 hours. However, the length of the entire course remains unchanged at 35 hours. Other changes include the decoupling of e-learning from trainer-led courses and moves to encourage more flexibility in end of module assessments, as well as the introduction of an accelerated pathway for returning drivers. The changes can be found on the link : https://lnkd.in/e7-H8p3A This is a good thing for the driving industry as drivers now have more flexibility
