Building a Team from Scratch: My Journey Over the past 18 months, I’ve had the opportunity to build a team from scratch, and it’s been quite the journey. What started as a supporting role to the Account Directors has now grown into a strong, high-performing team. Here’s what I’ve focused on along the way: 🛠️ Creating Workflows: I set up workflows and processes to make sure everyone knew what to do and how to get things done efficiently, without stepping on anyone else’s toes. 📊 Establishing Processes: From the beginning, I put processes in place to help us work smarter and keep things running smoothly. 🤝 Fostering Collaboration: I collaborated with the Client Services teams, encouraging open communication and teamwork. This helped us tackle challenges together and come up with better solutions. 🔄 Staying Adaptable: Things don’t always go as planned, especially with a new team. Staying flexible and ready to adapt has been key to our success. Today, we’re a successful billings team at DMS. We handle localization billing for high-end clients, manage billing approvals every month, and provide accurate reports to senior management. I’m so proud of what we’ve achieved together.
