Help us reach millions of voters. Nearly twenty million Americans work after dark, generating up to 15% of the United States’ gross domestic product. There are also millions of residents who patronize our nation's nightlife and nighttime businesses. 24HourNation has secured a congressperson, trade industry leaders, nighttime economy leaders, and other after-dark influencers. They are ready to encourage these voters to plan to vote in the U.S. presidential election. What we do not have left in our all-volunteer pockets are the funds to cover the costs for another national call. Can you help sponsor our next (non-partisan) call with any level of gift? This would not be a charitable or political contribution. This would simply be chipping in to help our advisors raise $1,500 to host another national video call. Help us reach nighttime voters: https://lnkd.in/g3p7646G Watch our first (and partisan) national call to action hosted by Ariel Palitz, first and former "night mayor" of New York City: https://lnkd.in/gPfw9yTb

Kamala Harris, the Democratic vice presidential candidate, has raised approximately $500 million since becoming the nominee, showing strong donor support for the upcoming November election. This fundraising effort, which began after Joe Biden stepped down from the Democratic ticket, has seen an influx of money in just four weeks. In contrast, Donald Trump's campaign raised $138.7 million in July, with $327 million on hand. Despite being considered an underdog, Harris has garnered significant enthusiasm, receiving small-dollar donations and attracting large crowds at rallies in swing states. Biden's campaign raised over $1 billion in the 2020 election cycle, and Barack Obama has also been supporting the Democratic ticket through fundraising events. The aim is to prevent complacency among voters and donors in the race against Trump. 📸: News X gotonews.com #kamalaharris2024 #EconomyNews #TRUMP2024ToSaveAmerica #CowardTrump #coward #trendingnewsnow #500million #trendingnews2024 #Americannews #americanpolitics #gotonews

"How far is too far?" A common question by nonprofits interested in influencing elections, legislation, and/or public policy without jeopardizing their tax-exempt status. One (free) resource you should know about is Bolder Advocacy's resource library (a link in the comments). Per its website, BA "promotes active engagement in democratic processes and institutions by giving nonprofits and foundations the confidence to advocate effectively and by protecting their right to do so." You'll find articles like: - The Rules of the Game: A Guide to Election-Related Activities for 501(c)(3) Organizations - Public Charities Can Lobby: Guidelines for 501(c)(3) Public Charities - Lobbying Defined for Private Foundations The lobbying/political activity rules come up in different contexts for different organizations. If you haven't already, take some to understand and discuss internally how these rules might impact your organization.
