🚀👨💻 As a seasoned developer, I strongly advocate for #Startups to adopt a dynamic tech stack! 💡 My preferred choice? #NextJs for that slick, seamless frontend, and the robust #dotNET for backend magic. 🎩⚙️ Why? Because balance in the Force is essential! 🌓 Who agrees or thinks differently? 💭 Let's chat about your preferred stack and why? 🚀 #TechStartups #CloudNative #AI #ProgrammingLife #K8s #Docker 💻🌐

As a #CTO or #Founder of a startup, one of the most important decisions you need to make is choosing the right technology to use. It's important to keep in mind that there is no one-size-fits-all solution for every startup. Your decision should be based on the unique characteristics of your project and team. When it comes to #frontend technologies, React and Angular are the most commonly used #technologies. The choice between #React and #Angular depends on various factors, including; project requirements and scalability needs. For instance, if your project requires a high level of modularity and reusability, React may be a good fit. On the other hand, if your project requires extensive tooling, built-in features for scalability, and a structured approach to development, Angular's opinionated architecture can streamline development processes. The above are just a few instances. To understand more and in detail, feel free to reach out to us-(https://lnkd.in/gC5dCCgs). Senior Software Engineer at Software Country | Cloud Native Architect | Python | JS/TS | AWS | Passionate about AI/ML
Sometimes you just have to roll up your sleeves and create a working MVP, even if it feels like assembling a Frankenstein monster. Recently, I agreed to help build a small startup product, though I quickly realized I had no time to spare on it. In hindsight, I wish I had invested that time in my studies instead. But here we are. I threw everything into one repository—Django, Nginx, and React—and used Docker Compose with separate configs for local and stage environments. Locally, Nginx serves the frontend from npm run dev; on stage, it serves static files. For deployment, I skipped CI/CD and hacked together a Makefile to create a build archive, upload it via SSH, and unpack it on the instance. No time for fancy pipelines! In Django, I skipped DRF entirely and wrote views manually using Pydantic models. Who needs Swagger and REST bells and whistles? I even played around with Django Channels, though instead of proper routing, I just hard-coded consumers and handlers. I know this isn’t the most “correct” way to build a product, and I’m fully aware of that. But the difference between how I used to approach such tasks and how I handle them now is mind-blowing. Everything feels so much simpler and clearer today. I might even make the repo public at some point—to showcase what happens when you take the “fast and dirty” route instead of following best practices. The MVP is almost done, just need to finish the UI. The founders are already bragging about having 2,000 people eager to use the product. Hehe, for now, it’s running on a free AWS instance with 1GB of RAM, with the database on another free RDS instance. I made them create a separate AWS account just to use the free tier and avoid any unnecessary expenses. I wonder how long it will hold up—and how quickly their OpenAI budget will run out when they ask me to add payments. This startup doesn’t even need investors; all it requires is a techie willing to make their ideas a reality—someone like me, apparently. I don’t want to be a “tech slave”… but here I am >_< #Python #Django #Startup

Adapting to Multiple Tech Stacks: A Backend Developer’s Superpower 💥 As a backend developer, one of the most valuable skills you can have is the ability to adapt to different tech stacks. In an industry that’s constantly evolving, flexibility isn’t just nice to have—it’s essential. Here’s what I’ve learnt: 1️⃣ Solving Problems from Different Angles: Whether you’re working with Node.js, Python, or Java, each stack has its strengths. The more tools you master, the more creative and efficient you become when tackling challenges. 2️⃣ Cross-Platform Expertise: Understanding multiple stacks means you’re ready for any project, from APIs and databases like MongoDB and MySQL, to integrating third-party services. It’s like being a Swiss Army knife for development! 3️⃣ Staying Ahead of the Curve: New technologies like Golang or Rust are always emerging. Staying curious and continuously learning keeps you relevant and ready for the next big thing. 4️⃣ Tailoring Solutions to Client Needs: Every project is different. By knowing a variety of stacks, you can offer the best solution—whether it’s building microservices or managing a more traditional monolithic structure. 🔑 How to Get Comfortable with Multiple Tech Stacks: Master the fundamentals. Try different languages and frameworks with personal projects. Don’t be afraid to get involved in open-source projects. Being adaptable is a superpower in backend development. It keeps you growing, helps you deliver better solutions, and makes you stand out in a rapidly changing world. Let’s keep learning and evolving together! #HappyCoding 🙌 #innovation #technology #future #futurism #entrepreneurship #startups #community #webcommunity #cloud #venturecapital #leanstartups #sustainability #productivity #product

What does it take for a company to choose Node.js for their production applications? The recent article I came across dives into how major companies have embraced this technology and the diverse reasons behind their choices. It sheds light on the impressive scalability, performance, and speed that Node.js offers—attributes that are game-changers for tech-driven businesses. In addition to its speed, the article emphasizes the vibrant community and ecosystem surrounding Node.js, making it a favorable choice for both startups and established enterprises looking to innovate. It’s eye-opening to see how companies like Netflix and LinkedIn leverage Node.js to enhance their user experiences. What are your thoughts on the growing popularity of Node.js? Do you think it's the future of web development? I'm curious to hear your insights! https://lnkd.in/euqTyPAu

Pollz.live (Poll Results Predicted Correctly!) How it started? One of my friends had an idea to create a betting site on candidates, but we quickly realized it would not only be wrong from the BITS perspective, but also from the county's constitution. Still, the idea really stuck with me. A week later, I had a new idea—not betting, but why not superchat? To be honest, all I wanted was to capitalize on the hype and make money using the skills I possess. I told my batchmates, and they were in, but we were already a bit late—it was Saturday, with just 1 week remaining. Still, it was very basic, not a complex idea, and would be easy. But before starting, we thought, let’s consider some EC guidelines—and that’s when we really started overthinking... Things went wrong! We overthought and planned too much about what could go wrong, from using Tor email to outsourcing the server. Uff, I don’t even want to remember—we really overthought everything. Since there wasn’t much traffic (we got about 500 votes); I was a bit disappointed and quickly got bored with the CRUD work. I cursed web development—it seemed boring now, too repetitive. What made me even sadder was that I overthought all the potential pitfalls. That’s why we kept everything anonymous, but later, as time passed, we were like, "yeah, whatever..." Timeline of the Project: 8th September 12 am to 10th September 12 pm (60 hours, 2 allnighter while managing other stuff alongside…) BUT WHY 60 hours for a simple site? Yes, it was easy, but again, weird dev problems came up. Here’s the complete breakdown: -> Frontend: React + Tailwind CSS + responsive -> Backend: WebSocket + Django -> Front+Back Integration -> DevOps: Dockerization, hosting (server setup) I also wanted to integrate a superchat feature, and I wrote the entire code for it, but later realized Razorpay takes 2-3 days for verification, and all that hard work went down the drain—lite. In DevOps, we got stuck on a very idiotic error, we messed that up—it could have been solved much earlier. The backend was fairly simple, and I wasn’t alone in that part. It covered the auth flow, voting system, and WebSocket connection. Also, some time went into arranging images of the candidates and manipulating them with AI. Once everything was done, next was the rollout—my friends managed that better than me. Anyway, I don’t know if it was a successful attempt or not, but fine, better than nothing, a fun project. At least we proved that the ideas we brainstorm in Mr. Avy's room do get executed too. Really, expectation vs reality got real, 1 week invested/wasted in this. Also i have no bias and respect all the candidates for giving their best shot :) PS: Update, Moneylite backend is done, but the app dev person is busy. I’ll make the website frontend in a day or two.
