Amazon Seller central is down 🔴 Many sellers are messaging who are worried about this. They are unable to track their PPC and overall sales. Amazon is showing errors. This is not the main problem, you can still track your sales and PPC from Sellerboard or Helium 10, if you’re using any. Main problem is not being able to make necessary optimizations. Those who are doing only day-parting, and do not have proper strategies are in trouble now 🤓 For now, we can only hope that everything stays good, especially for those doing day-parting. Exactly my thoughts. Two more points on top of this post: 1. You don’t have to sell the cheapest product in the niche. But you can sell the cheapest within your offering within the niche. If you’re selling a medium-ticket version of the product, make sure you’re either better differentiated than your competition at the same/similar price or better yet, priced lower than them. Amazon is a comparison marketplace, and you’re always in direct price comparisons with another product. 2. You can literally use the part about ‘you won’t sell with the best price if your customers can’t find you’. Most niches Amazon have 60-80% mobile buyers. And mobile only shows 2 top of search spots. This is why I always suggest sellers and clients to launch 2 standalone versions of the product in low to medium competition niches once the first product is already stable. To keep the niche from becoming high competition, make sure you heavily guard the first two TOS spots on your keywords whenever there’s a smaller seller or a new product trying to gain traction, and keep them away from the eyeballs. This is obviously more affordable and relevant once you’re already stable and profitable in a niche. Guard your niche from competition by blocking them out from major areas of growth. 💰 What most Amazon Sellers don't get about pricing 💹 To be honest, I didn't know the power of pricing myself before I joined Thrasio. So this was one of the biggest learnings I had myself: Your No. 1 Lever for Unit Velocity is an effective Price Point in conjunction with marketing spend. As seen on the Image, your Price (incl. Promotions) is one of the most effective levers that determine your CVR. Among other factors like your overall ASIN health (reviews, rating, badges, etc) pricing can effectively drive you more units and increase your profits or vice versa. Another thing that I learned is that it's not important if you have the best (lowest) price in your category If nobody sees that price! Imagine you sell a product that's as good or better than the competition and you drop your price to be the cheapest 3P seller in your niche and still, nobody buys... Well my friend, you just learned that price alone is not enough. The magic formula is: visibility x price First, you need to have visibility on your product, otherwise, your amazing prices can't be seen by anyone. Nobody checks page 2 for the best offers! So, first, make sure you get the right visibility for your product with PPC. and Work on the price in Conjunction with PPC. Use Deals or Promotions to drive a lower price point and increase your visibility to make the most of the Unit velocity. Increased Units Velocity will let your BSR / organic ranks benefit and you'll hopefully see elevated Sales (compared to the pre-period) after you actioned this. Rinse & Repeat. Look for Keyword pockets that you can conquer with PPC visibility, change that price to drive units, and repeat. This seems to hurt sales (A LOT) on amazon.Noone care enough to fix it? Well it irritated us, so we did. The problem is assuming no deals/coupons/no pricing /no aggressive advertising... nothing. All variables same. How does suddenly a random competitor start ranking higher organically stealing your sales? You forgot to monitor what A/B tests they are doing on their images: 1️⃣ Competitor made a main image change? Now shoppers clicking them more 2️⃣ Competitor made a text change on a+ content now they convert more shoppers with this. Now with Asgard you can monitor all sponsored & organic ranks of competitor asins. & get notified on these asins immediately when they make a change on their images before it hurts your sales.
