Welcoming new clients. Working with professionals, business owners and families to provide reliable and expert financial planning.
Meet Justin Onuekwusi, CFA who is our Chief Investment Officer and provides his insights on a quarterly basis. Take a look for the latest thoughts from him and his team. Market hysteria, propelled by news headlines and social media speculation over the 'next big thing', often obscures rational decision-making. Justin sheds light on our approach, underscoring the importance of prioritising long-term valuations over short-lived market manias. A round up of the messages are: 1. Using valuations as part of our disciplined approach to identify attractive areas of the market is instrumental in shaping our investment decisions. 2. Valuations serve as a compass, directing our attention towards hard facts and away from the distracting market noise. 3. Practicing patience and discipline ensures that we only act upon opportunities when valuations are at extreme levels. #sjp #financialeducation #insights #cio

Paul Aversano, A&M Managing Director and Global Practice Leader, was recently featured in the S&P Global Market Intelligence article, Private Equity Exits Pacing for 5-Year Low after Slow H1. In the article, Mr. Aversano shares the key factors behind the sluggish exit activity, noting that macroeconomic uncertainty and the impending US election have firms hesitating to sell. Additionally, Paul's insights highlight PE firms are seeing limited returns from aging assets and are looking to foster further growth before selling. Indonesia, Malaysia and Philippines: Event driven opportunities Legal regimes across SE Asia provide different levels of creditor protections and enforcement rights for onshore and offshore creditors (i.e. developed SE Asia and emerging SE Asia markets). Indonesia: Still risk of Fortress Indonesia approach and “bad behaviour” around (i) claims process and recognition of claims (ii) phantom and friendly creditors (iii) selective application of the rules Having strong relationship with sponsors and borrowers, effective structuring and strong credit underwriting to mitigate risks. Starting to see Indonesian companies use offshore jurisdictions to restructure (e.g. Singapore schemes) amid a growing recognition of the need for a “final” solution.

As we wrap up the Private Wealth Summit in Palm Beach, FL today I thought I might share some of the bigger themes Chief Investment Officers and CEOs of firms are talking about here. - Geopolitics has historically been largely irrelevant to the value of equities. - There are significant dangers lurking in Private Credit. - The National Debt in the US has doubled in the last 10 years and the average cost is increasing rapidly. - The Federal Reserve is likely to hold rates too high for too long - A.I. is a "3-year-old" and like a child, it still needs a lot of guidance. - China isn't worth the risk right now. - Portfolio Management: Diversifying returns is not diluting returns, it is sequencing returns because the downside hurts twice as much as the upside feels good. - Manager Selection: Understand how they add value, who does their audit, and how they can sustain the investment results you expect. - There is much to be optimistic about such as both healthcare advances in non-communicable disease and the high yield on cash today. I'm looking forward to sharing more notes with our clients this week in our newsletter at Avantia: A Family Office. #wealth #markets #economics #artificialintelligence #federalreserve

Had the pleasure of joining Lonsec’s quarterly session with top investment minds, offering a deep dive into current market dynamics and investment strategies. Dan Marathi, an investment manager, shared a comprehensive macro update, focusing on inflation and interest rate impacts on economic growth. His insights into the challenges and strategies for 2024 were enlightening. Chris Smith then took us through the implementation of these strategies in individually managed accounts. The focus on customising investment approaches to individual needs was particularly striking. Key Takeaways: ✔️ Understanding the critical role of inflation and interest rates in shaping market trends. ✔️ The importance of adapting investment strategies to current economic conditions. ✔️ Customising portfolios to individual investor needs, balancing risk, and maximising returns. Grateful for the opportunity to gain such valuable insights and looking forward to applying these strategies to better serve our clients at Spectrum Wealth. #SpectrumWealthPartners #Economy #FinancialImpact
