I'm thrilled to share some exciting personal news! My long-time friend David W. Higgins, an economist in Dublin, and I have launched a new podcast called 'Next Round'. After several pilot episodes, we're ready to share our project with a wider public audience. 'Next Round' offers a unique and young Irish take on the global and intertwined worlds of the economy, politics, and society, focusing on our generation's challenges and opportunities. It's a platform for deep, insightful, and engaging discussions on the topics that matter to us all. You can now subscribe and follow 'Next Round' on Spotify, Apple Podcasts, and all other major streaming platforms. We're excited for the coming months as we build our podcast community and engage in many meaningful conversations. We would be really grateful if you could follow, subscribe, and consider leaving a review. Your support will be the 'fuel' that keeps us going as we embark on this exciting new venture. Most importantly, we would really value your feedback. Please let us know what we should start doing, stop doing, and do differently. Feel free to send either of us a DM with your thoughts. Today, you’ll consume 74GB of information. That’s the equivalent of watching 16 movies. In one day. Our inboxes are overflowing, our social streams are noisy, we doom scroll short form content on apps purpose-built to hijack our attention, designed by the world’s smartest minds. But as the volume of information we consume grows each day, our capacity as humans to focus and make sense of the world remains basically unchanged. And this is the essence of the attention economy—where information is no longer the scarce commodity; instead, our attention is the prize to be won. In today’s episode, we’ll cover: ➡️ What, exactly, the attention economy is and how the world's most successful brands have mastered it to gain an unfair advantage ➡️ Then, we’ll break down the 4 key pillars these brands use to win in the attention economy and how you can apply them to to your social impact strategy Listen on Apple Podcasts: https://apple.co/3TUbJCo Listen on Spotify: https://spoti.fi/3PDIiSt Watch/Listen on YouTube: https://bit.ly/4cA3cvS #AttentionEconomy #SocialImpact #DesigningTomorrow #ContentStrategy

If you've been following me for awhile, you've probably heard me talking about the attention economy. And I'll probably still be talking about it 5, 10, and 20 years from now. In my opinion, understanding the attention economy and viewing your work as a social impact leader through its lens is one of the most powerful mindset shifts available to get traction and grow your social impact brand. So it's not a coincidence that our first full-length episode on Designing Tomorrow is all about the attention economy, why it matters, and how you can learn to win in the attention economy to help scale your impact. Check it out and let me know what it brings up for you.

Whenever the conversation of what I am listening to comes up, I can’t recommend the Prof-G pod strongly enough. If you haven’t checked it out yet, now is the time. I think it should probably be considered CEs for my MBA and has kept me tied into market news and global economic and geopolitical trends on my commutes for the past 6 years with no risk of zoning out like other market pods. Stick with it, even if you catch it on a week with a terrible joke up front…#ProfGMarkets
It's a huge week at Prof G Media. For two years now, Prof G Markets has delivered brash, data-driven insights on what's moving the markets. We've talked about money to the beat of disco and house music, and we've spiced things up with a healthy dose of irreverent humor. Our show has grown exponentially under the Prof G Pod umbrella, but we're just getting started. In order to offer our audience more of its favorite father-son duo (Scott Galloway and Ed Elson), Prof G Markets has launched its own dedicated feed. Starting May 20th, we'll be publishing two episodes per week and introducing more interviews with analysts, professors, authors, financial advisors, and Wall Street insiders. Thanks to those of our listeners who've already followed the new feed. The momentum has pushed us to the top of the charts, and all we've published is the trailer. As of today, Prof G Markets and the Prof G Pod are #1 and #4 in business podcasts. Our recent release with Aswath Damodaran hit #2 in top episodes. Thanks also to those of you who've listened to the past 90+ episodes. We hope you'll join us on our new platform. And if you're just hearing about us now, tune in. We make learning about the markets fun. Apple: https://lnkd.in/ejtdGpDG Spotify: https://lnkd.in/eD6GiAc2

Check out this new podcast by my friend Josh Levs especially if you want accurate facts about Israel!
Thrilled to announce my new podcast They Stand Corrected, fact checking the news media! Each episode focuses on something BIG that the media is getting wrong, why it keeps happening, and what we can all do about it. Subscribe! Apple Podcasts: https://lnkd.in/efXwvpwU Spotify: https://lnkd.in/eyNNswzG Links to other places including YouTube, or listen directly in the site, at the new joshlevs.com. With each episode, I send out a newsletter packed with facts, links and proof. Plus, a *safe space* for listeners to submit questions and comments -- without haters or spammers going after them. And ways to support this independent project: https://lnkd.in/e_cX74-m These days, EVERY industry is being called on to improve and tackle systemic problems. The news industry should be no exception. As we enter into an even worse era of misinformation and deep fakes, we desperately need news media to be trustworthy sources of truth. When they instead help to spread lies, we’re all in trouble. And sadly, that problem is rampant. News organizations all too often report what liars, and even terrorists, say without telling you what’s true. When you love something, you can’t stand to see it fail. I love the role that a free press should play in society. Fighting to make an industry better is the ultimate sign of commitment to it. (And working journalists are among those who send me reports they want me to fact check.) Join me. Let's show the media that when they get things wrong, They Stand Corrected. 👊 JL

Creator Subscription Operator | Leading creator partnerships at Supercast while we unlock millions in recurring revenue for our partners. Running ultras in my spare time. ✌️⛰️
Creators operating at scale can learn a lot from the success of Entourage. I loved the show and have probably seen every episode multiple times. What made it so successful and enduring? The feeling of becoming an insider when you watched it. Whether the stories being told were true or hyper-exaggerated, the life of an up-and-coming movie star hadn't been told like that before. At least not with the sense of intimacy and access a viewer got. And maybe most importantly - not just access to the star and his world, but to the people around the star and what their lives, challenges, hopes, dreams, and conversations were like. I think there are a handful of creators who have tapped into a similar thread with their podcasts. The communities forming around their shows love the access they have not just to the main host or creator who has the largest audience, but to the inner-circle that they've formed with their close friends. Getting to hear and see the banter between that group of individuals is more engaging than whatever it is they're actually saying, or the topic they're talking about - at least to their most engaged fans. Multiple shows tapping into this insight are generating millions in recurring revenue each year as a result - with others starting to explore what that kind of offering could look like. Really curious to see how this trend continues to play out over the next few years. 👀

Laughter. It's a great mood booster and it costs us almost nothing. You'll notice that Ryan Gracyalny and I start out nearly all of our podcasts with off-the-wall banter that consistently ends in laughter. It's not by accident. Being in a good mood is the starting point for creativity. I highlight this clip because its fun and isn't informative at all. It's moments like these that open up creative discussions in teams, things that are unscripted and unplanned. Check out the latest episode of Connecting the Dots as we dive into how to optimize creative problem solving in your teams. We get into: - understanding the role of divergent and convergent thinking in the creative process - how to select individuals to maximize divergent and convergent thinking - practical exercises to get immediate improvements in creative output with your teams We hope you enjoy this episode as much as we enjoyed creating it.
