During the codecentric AG KickOff 2024 my team (Stefanie Hasler, Julius Jann, Felix Fischer) and me presented the way we do 𝗠𝗼𝗯/𝗘𝗻𝘀𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗹𝗲/𝗧𝗲𝗮𝗺-𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗺𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗴 (as invented by Woody Zuill) with our current enterprise customer. We shortly presented our way (< 10 min) and switched into a fishbowl to hear about the experiences of other teams. During COVID, I started reaching out to businesses in an effort to bring field trips to my students. Geno and Sheri at Geshelli Labs in Florida were incredibly excited to work with my class, and they took an hour out of their day to ZOOM with us, but not before sending us a personalized headphone amp for the class and a bunch of swag. They discussed building LED circuits, garage startups, and the time and commitment it took to build a business with family labor. This partnership resulted in another partnership with Cheap Audio Man, a YouTuber who wanted to review my West Valley students’ speakers on his 200k sub channel. https://lnkd.in/gam9R9CX Other businesses have been very helpful and gracious to discuss small business (including the John and Zelda Adams and Toby Poser a family of filmmakers making a HUGE splash in the world of indie horror), but this partnership with Geshelli was and is very special. If you’re a teacher, make a dozen phone calls and try to reach out to people you think might not be interested but you’d love to work with. You’ll probably land one. If you’re a business owner, try to engage with your community. The worst part of education is the disconnected classroom. Students don’t think the classroom or content is relevant or that courses are related to each other. We can blame a lot on admin, school boards, parents, etc., but that one is 100% on us. And if you need a headphone amp or DAC for your setup, you will not find better than Geshelli Labs. Support people who are willing to support us. “From each according to their ability, to each according to their needs”

I’m excited to announce that I will be speaking at this year's droidcon Berlin conference! My session will revisit a topic from last year's talk on team organization. Last year, Danny Preussler, a renowned expert in Android Development, discussed the challenges his teams faced over the years and suggested organizing teams by technology. While I acknowledge the issues he mentioned, I propose a different perspective on the root causes and solutions.
