The Goals of PushPlay.Vip I get questions all the time about Pushplay.vip. Long term we have two goals: 1. To be able to do live events in the app and 2. To get to the point where we can pay content creators to produce PushPlay.Vip original content. In the short term, our goals are: 1. Grow our subscribers. 2. Present more Premieres for our audience. 3. Provide a platform for indie filmmakers to get their films seen by a global audience 4. Help indie filmmakers understand the marketing process and how it can increase payperview sales. WHY WE USE A PAYPERVIEW MODEL? Starting a business is easy. The hard part is growing and expanding it. With that being said, we know how hard you work on getting your projects out. Our Payperview model offers two benefits: 1. Since it's payperview, the sky is the limit. If you have a strong marketing strategy, you can have a very successful and profitable premiere. What we find is that many filmmakers lack the necessary marketing skills to ensure a profitable premiere. Unlike most platforms, we try to assist filmmakers with marketing and give them the basics but it's ultimately up to you to market and get people to your premiere. 2. Payouts are fast. We process payments 15 to 30 days after your premiere. Who don't like fast payouts? The beauty of Pushplay.vip is that we also work with short films! Short films have to be over 12 minutes. Many platforms don't deal with short films but at Pushplay.vip, we believe your vision should be seen by the world as well. Pushplay.vip is a platform for filmmakers by filmmakers so we understand the grind creators go through on a daily basis. Filmmaking is not easy and its demanding. Thats why we believe indie filmmakers should have a hassle free avenue by which they can get their films shown to the world. We are excited about the future of Pushplay.vip and where it is going. CHECK US OUT!!!!!! Come grow with us and JOIN THE REVOLUTION!!!!! PUSHPLAY.VIP STREAM WITH CONFIDENCE!!!

#greenfilming On Friday, September 27, six key players in the Czech audiovisual industry signed a Memorandum establishing Czech Platform for Sustainable Audiovisual Production. 🤟🔥 The platform will serve as the main hub for addressing sustainability issues in this sector in the Czech Republic. The signing of the memorandum, representing a shared commitment to active cooperation in improving environmental standards, took place at the international festival Serial Killer and was done by representatives of the Association of Audiovisual Producers (APA), the Association of Directors, Screenwriters, and Dramaturgists (ARAS), Czech Television, the Film and TV School of the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague (FAMU), the Prima Group, and TV Nova gathered for the event. "As an association of producers, we have been working for a long time to create the best possible conditions, analyzing and updating the situation, and helping producers to ensure that their productions align with the principles of sustainable filmmaking and have minimal environmental impact. It's not just a global trend; we are striving to raise filming standards in the Czech Republic and to enhance the competitiveness of the audiovisual industry on a global scale. Large companies like Netflix or Disney+, which film here, no longer want to collaborate unless current sustainability principles are followed," says Vratislav Šlajer, Chairman of the APA. 🎥 Big news for the Czech entertainment industry! 🎮 The amendment to the Czech Audiovisual Act, currently in its final legislative stages and set to take effect on January 1, 2025, introduces transformative changes for film, television, and video game productions. Here’s what to expect: ✅ Streaming Platform Fees: Platforms targeting Czech users, including those based abroad, will contribute 3.5% of their Czech revenues to the State Audiovisual Fund. This fee can be reduced through direct investments in local content, such as funding Czech productions or creating local adaptations. ✅ Increased Incentives: Starting from 2026, production incentives will rise from 20% to 25%, with maximum support per project being capped at CZK 450M (~EUR 17.8M). ✅ Video Games Included: Video games will become eligible for grants, a landmark move as the state officially acknowledges them as a vital part of the audiovisual sector and commits to supporting the gaming industry. ✅ Small-Screen Productions: Independent creators of TV and streaming projects will also become eligible for funding, opening new opportunities for innovative content development. These changes represent a significant step forward for the Czech audiovisual market, and I genuinely hope they will create exciting new opportunities for both local and international stakeholders. You can find more details about these changes in the article below. 👇 We'll dive deeper into each of them in an upcoming series of articles, so stay tuned! If you have any questions about the amendment, don’t hesitate to reach out to me or Robert Nešpůrek —we’d be happy to chat.

ACCESS REQUEST for all filmmakers, editors, content creators! Please share with your filmmaker communities! When adding any text or titles to your projects, please consider placing them above the lower third of the screen so that they don't clash with closed captions and subtitles. I've been captioning films for several years and keep running into this issue. Filmmakers often ask me if I can move the captions so that they don't clash with the lower thirds, but this can only be done and guaranteed with open captions (burned in captions). DCP players don't always read formatting that shows closed captions at the top of the screen and online players like Vimeo and YouTube never read that sort of formatting. Happy to answer questions about this in the comments.

Fiction, Reality, and Regulation: The Journey of Cinema Shuttling Between Creative Freedom and Government Scrutiny 🎬 In the ever-expanding world of OTT content, creative storytelling knows no bounds—or does it? Recent events have sparked discussions about the complex interplay between fiction and reality, and the consequences when the lines blur of freedom in content and misinterpretation of facts "IC 814: The Kandahar Hijack" (Netflix, 2024): The series aimed to capture a harrowing moment in history, but its choice to rename real-life terrorists as 'Shankar' and 'Bhola' has led to government intervention for changing names which represent misinterpretation of facts "Heeramandi" (Netflix, 2024): Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s highly anticipated OTT debut, set in Lahore during the 1920s-1940s, has already faced criticism. Despite the show's visual grandeur, critics from Pakistan, including former politician Yousuf Salahuddin, argue that it distorts Lahore’s rich cultural history, presenting a version of events that clashes with the authentic narrative "Tandav" (Amazon Prime Video, 2021): A fictional portrayal of political and religious themes drew more than just viewer interest—it led to the summoning of its creators by the government "A Suitable Boy" (Netflix, 2020): A seemingly simple scene—a kiss in a temple—ignited a national debate and legal scrutiny. Can fictional moments resonate in ways that creators never anticipated, stirring emotions far beyond the screen allegedly hurting religious sentiments "Paatal Lok" (Amazon Prime Video, 2020): The depiction of certain communities in this series led to significant public discussion, raising questions about the responsibility that comes with storytelling hurting Nepali community "Sacred Games" (Netflix, 2018): The second season of this groundbreaking series, directed by Anurag Kashyap, sparked controversy among Sikh groups. A particular scene showing Saif Ali Khan’s character, Sartaj Singh, discarding his ‘kada’—a sacred bracelet in Sikhism—provoked strong reactions, highlighting the sensitivities involved when fictional narratives intersect with religious beliefs These instances underscore an ongoing, subtle tension: As streaming platforms continue to redefine storytelling, how do they manage the fine line between creative freedom and the potential for controversy? The ability to push boundaries is what makes OTT content so compelling, but it also places creators in challenging positions where their choices can have unexpected ramifications. #OTTContent #CreativeDecisions #Storytelling #FictionVsReality #Netflix #AmazonPrime #ContentControversy Netflix India Amazon Prime
