Office of the DoD Chief Information Officer’s Post

Having recently finalized the 2024 Department of Defense (DoD) Cyber Service Academy (CSA) scholarship selections, the DoD CSA is excited to announce that its upcoming DoD CSA Scholar Bootcamp is set to take place on Sunday, 21 July, through Tuesday, 23 July 2024, in Washington, D.C. This exciting event, hosted by George Washington University (a designated National Center of Academic Excellence in Cyber Security [NCAE-C]) is intended to offer DoD CSA scholarship awardees an in depth understanding of the DoD CSA roles, responsibilities, expectations, and standards as they embark on their cyber academic path. This event was first launched in 2022 under the DoD Cyber Scholarship Program. Having recently changed names, the DoD CSA Scholar Bootcamp will afford scholars the opportunity to interact with DoD cyber leadership, meet agency representatives, network with fellow scholars, and participate in a hands-on cyber activity called Experience Cyber (formerly the NICE Challenge https://lnkd.in/e5kMhPkY). This exciting event will set DoD CSA Scholars up for future success and, in doing so, reinforce DoD's and OCIO's commitment to strengthening the nation's cyber posture.
