#TNR Tip: Plan to trap the evening before or the morning of the cats' spay or neuter appointments. The less time a community cat spends in a humane trap, the better. See our step-by-step guide to Trap-Neuter-Return: alleycat.org/TNRGuide

There are critical steps to do #TNR safely for community cats. For example, don't leave cats in humane traps in spaces that aren't temperature controlled--and don't let cats out of their trap unless they're sedated for spay/neuter, or you're at the 'R' (Return) step in the process! We walk through it all here: https://ow.ly/hQSm50RJZSY

On this Juneteenth, let's also shed light on a lesser-known bias issue: Black Dog Syndrome. Black pets are often overlooked in shelters due to superstitions and biases, much like the prejudice we've fought against for generations. Today, let's pledge to see the beauty and love in every animal, regardless of their color. Adopt, foster, and advocate for black pets and help break the cycle of discrimination. Check out this article for more information: https://lnkd.in/g9Y_7wTi #Juneteenth #BlackDogSyndrome #AdoptDontShop #EndAnimalCruelty

If children can be so kind and sensitive, why cant we do that in Palestine, Israel, Russia, Ukraine and many other places, where we often now see too much agression, wars, greed and selfishness? The answer is shocking : Because we - some of us - totally lost our human kindness and sensitivity, - inner peace, focus, compassion, empathy, respect, understanding, tolerance, negotiation skills, listening, accepting our differences, reaching out, being friendly, hugging, kissing, caring, helping , connecting , being kind & sensitive - that you see in this video. We need to go back, to have the heart of a child, otherwise we cannot create the paradise and heaven on earth, that it is supposed and meant to be. Would this video inspire war criminals , aggressors, and racists? Maybe not so. Is war and violence, torturing, murdering, raping and hurting others, why i was born? Why are we here? To have the kind and sensitive heart of a child, as in this video. To be happy and make happy. To feel and to share peace To be wise and inspire and help others. To enjoy and help others to enjoy life. Do you agree with me, smart guys & female angels ? #TNR Tip: If kittens or a mother cat won't enter a humane trap, go high tech! Play a video of kittens meowing on your phone and place it at the back of the trap (but not in it!). Kittens may race to join the “other kittens” in the trap. Mom may think her kittens are calling for her and enter the trap to find them. Everyone has a role to play to improve animals' lives - because a world that's better for animals is better for us all. For the RSPCA, here in England and Wales, that includes our Members of Parliament, our Senedd Members, Peers, Mayors, Police & Crime Commissioners, and other elected representatives.... In his piece I cover why the RSPCA's new brand is what animals need in 2024. https://lnkd.in/e3NzAYsP
