𝗩𝗶𝗰𝘁𝗼𝗿𝗶𝗮 𝗣𝗮𝗿𝗸, located in Guernsey, underwent a significant transformation with the installation of a new artificial turf system. The 𝗚𝘂𝗲𝗿𝗻𝘀𝗲𝘆 𝗙𝗼𝗼𝘁𝗯𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝗔𝘀𝘀𝗼𝗰𝗶𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 (𝗙𝗔) has been instrumental in driving this project to enhance the sporting infrastructure of the community. Key consultants involved in this project include 𝗝𝗮𝘀𝗼𝗻 𝗣𝗼𝘄𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝘀𝘂𝗹𝘁𝗮𝗻𝘁𝘀, with Or Shay and Sam Johnson leading the charge from 𝗦𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝘀 𝗟𝗮𝗯𝘀.
The new playing surface being installed at Victoria Park is the 𝗣𝗼𝗹𝘆𝘁𝗮𝗻 𝗟𝗶𝗴𝗮𝗧𝘂𝗿𝗳, a high-quality synthetic turf known for its durability and performance. This product has been chosen to meet the stringent requirements of the FIFA Quality Pro standard.
Throughout the installation, extensive inspections were conducted by Sports Labs to ensure every phase met the high standards required. Sports Labs not only performed key stage inspections but also carried out the final FIFA testing at the end of the project to certify the turf’s compliance with 𝗙𝗜𝗙𝗔 𝗤𝘂𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗣𝗿𝗼 standards.
Special mention to Adsum Sport & Play Ltd for the high quality installation.
2025 is the 50th anniversary of AlamiyaMedia and Advertising, a company that arguably pioneered media production in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) and has had to rapidly adapt to the sweeping internationalisation initiated by the state since 2016.
To mark this milestone, Adrian Pennington spoke to chief broadcast officer Miguel Caso Rioja about a range of issues including meeting international broadcasting tech standards, preparing for the FIFA World Cup, and bringing the Supercoppa Italiana and Supercopa de España to KSA.

🏆 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗦𝗽𝗮𝗻𝗶𝘀𝗵 𝗦𝘂𝗽𝗲𝗿 𝗖𝘂𝗽: 𝗠𝗼𝗻𝗲𝘆 𝘃𝘀. 𝗠𝗼𝗿𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆? 🏆
The Spanish Super Cup final is about to kick off in Saudi Arabia. This decision to host the competition in Saudi Arabia presents a significant dilemma: what are the priorities for the clubs, and what are the priorities for the fans?
Playing in such countries generates substantial extra income for the participating clubs (with a generous cut for the Spanish Football Federation, of course).
However, the vast majority of fans are unable to attend the matches live (few can afford the travel costs and time commitment). Furthermore, those who do travel must abide by the laws and customs of Saudi Arabia, a country with a human rights record that falls short of international standards set by the United Nations.
What are your thoughts on this?
Rather than divesting from fossil fuels, football’s relationship gets closer & closer! Just the language FIFA are using here points towards the reputational advantages Aramco gets as football’s governing body refers to the world’s biggest oil company as an “intergrated energy” company. Is that FIFA greenwashing on behalf Aramco? FIFA get the money, but footballers and football fans get more global heating, more extreme weather, more heat and flooding, more damaged infrastructure, more bills for repair, more pollution, more deaths, more obstacles to participation, more childhood obesity, more health problems! Even if it doesn’t want to protect the planet isn’t football’s governing body supposed to protect football and fans?
Welcome on board, aramco! 🤝
Aramco, one of the world's leading integrated energy and chemical companies, has signed a four-year global partnership with FIFA.
The company becomes FIFA's Major Worldwide Partner exclusive in the energy category, with sponsorship rights for multiple events including the highly anticipated FIFA World Cup 2026™ - Canada, Mexico and the United States and 2027 FIFA Women's World Cup™ .
FIFA President Gianni Infantino said "We are delighted to welcome Aramco to FIFA’s family of global partners. This partnership will assist FIFA to successfully deliver its flagship tournaments over the next four years and, as is the case with all our commercial agreements, enable us to provide enhanced support to our 211 FIFA member associations across the globe. Aramco has a strong track record of supporting world class events, but also a focus on developing grassroots sport initiatives. We look forward to collaborating with them on a variety of initiatives over the coming years.”
Declining Legacy Media’s Propaganda On Saudi Arabia 2034 FIFA World Cup Hosting Omar Al Raisi
The legacy media’s outcry over Saudi Arabia hosting the 2034 World Cup reflects not just concerns but also a broader struggle to maintain relevance in a changing media landscape. As public trust wanes and citizen journalism along with new individual media platforms rise, traditional outlets must adapt to a narrative that celebrates the positive aspects of global events like the World Cup. #Saudi34#FIFA#WorldCup#SaudiArabiahttps://lnkd.in/eqFrveiy
FIFA must rigorously and transparently ensure that bids to host the 2030 and 2034 men’s World Cup tournaments fully safeguard human rights and reject any offer that risks abuses once again tainting the world’s largest sporting event, Amnesty International and the SRA say in a new report.
´Playing a Dangerous Game? Human Rights Risks Linked to the 2030 and 2034 FIFA World Cups´, assesses the human rights risks related to the bids – a joint offer from Morocco, Spain and Portugal with additional games to be played in Argentina, Paraguay and Uruguay for the 2030 World Cup finals – and another from Saudi Arabia to host the 2034 tournament.

This is an open endorsement for fossil fuels in a time of climate crisis and FIFA could not care less. A very dark day for football and the sport I love.
Saudi Aramco are the biggest oil company in the world and are responsible for more CO2 emissions than any other organisation in human history. Calling Aramco an “integrated energy and chemicals company” instead of an oil company is quite simply greenwashing.
FIFA are giving empowerment to the very organisations that are putting all our futures at risk by giving them a platform to sponsor the biggest sporting event in the world. It runs an absolute mockery of all the climate charters FIFA have ever put their name to.
What happened to that ‘green card for the planet’ campaign ‘to highlight awareness on the protection of the environment’ Mr Infantino? What happened to that ‘unwavering support for sustainability’ by reaching net zero by 2040 Mr Infantino?
There’s no football on a dead planet.
