#30daysgrowthchallenge Day 23 DATA ANALYSIS IN TENNIS First off, do you know there are data analysts that work with tennis players? Yes, there are! What do they do? They use analytics to provide strategic advantages for the team How do they do this? They collect tons of statistical and non-numeric data like videos, images etc to study ball points over a timeframe to recommend a winning advantage. This might look like an easy task but I assure you that it isn’t. Tens and even hundreds of hours of video footage from each player will be reviewed across different metrics to produce a recommendation. To put this more vividly, an example is the USA Team of professional tennis players, where there is a post game analysis taking into consideration every ball start and stop for each individual player after which insights are delivered within 24hours afterplay. #Dataintennis #Data

I created an insightful dashboard on Power BI with data obtained via kaggle named- 120 years of Olympic history dataset. The goal is to incorporate various advanced visualizations while using key visualization principles such as cognitive load reduction, pre-attentive attributes, Stolk's Laws, and Tufte's Principles: Results: Country Dominance: Countries like the USA and Russia show dominance across multiple sports over time, especially in athletics and swimming. Gender Trends: Female participation has steadily increased since the 1970s, especially in events like swimming and gymnastics. Top Athletes: Athletes like Michael Phelps show a significant Gold medal count, whereas others have a more balanced spread across medal types.

Ever wondered how you can use a knowledge graph to predict the outcome of a #tennis 🎾tournament? 🔮 Let me share my experience analyzing data from the French Open Roland Garros.⬇️ Lately, I've been following the French Open Roland Garros with more interest than ever before. Perhaps it's because it marks the end of an era with Nadal, Djokovic getting older, and Federer no longer playing 👴🏼. When I learned that Djokovic had abandoned the tournament, I was disappointed and curious about how the tournament would unfold. As a lover of statistics and sports, I decided to explore open data sources and found a GitHub repository that contained the data I needed and I used my data and AI skills to transform it into a knowledge graph: ➡️ Step 1: I used an LLM to create an ontology based on the data dictionary ➡️ Step 2: I transformed the ontology into cypher queries ➡️ Step 3: I loaded everything into Neo4j and built a Streamlit app to analyze it! Tadada - Bookmakers, are you ready?? ✨ One of the insights I gained was that Casper Ruud, a player with a strong clay court record, could be a potential favorite to win the tournament. 🥇 Ruud has won the most games on clay surfaces this year, and he hasn't played as many minutes as some of his opponents. This led me to believe that he would be in good shape for the tournament. Knowledge Graph itself DOES NOT predict the future but provide you trusted data to help you make your own decision. I also really loved to ask many questions without having to apply the filters I used in previous data analyses… 🙃 Imagine being able to ask valuable questions and gain insights from your company's data in real-time. This could help you make quick decisions and stay ahead of the competition.🎯💵 If you're interested in learning more about #knowledgegraphs and how they can be used for decision-making, I encourage you to DM me. If you're curious to dig more on the tennis data, here is the repository I used: https://lnkd.in/di35hTVg.

It's the Olympics for this week's #TidyTuesday From 1896 to 2016, there have been more U.S. male athletes named John than U.S. female athletes in any single sport, except athletics Code: https://lnkd.in/dwqypQf3 #RStats #dataviz #ggplot2
