LEVA-EU is in Laval for the 3rd Salon des Véhicules Intermédiaires, a Frech term for Light Electric Vehicles. The event clearly shows to what extent the LEV-community and -sector is growing and therefore in urgent need of its own regulations. The Commission has endorsed the EGUM recommendations for LEV--specific regulations. We now invite DG Grow to establish a LEV expert group for systematic consultation with the LEV community and Member States. LEV-specific regulations are needed ASAP.
