Over the past year or so you may have heard me mention I've been making a game. Often when I share this with people, I find they struggle to know how to respond. Most people can picture what goes into writing a book or making a movie, but probably have little idea what goes into making a game. So the conversation often stalls, as they don't know how to ask questions or engage with the topic. All of this makes me a little sheepish so I don't talk about it too much with people in real life. But in my nights and weekends, I'm working on my game ☄Comet. (And when I'm not working on it, I'm often thinking about it) It's for a small indie handheld game console called the Playdate. Today, the company behind the Playdate, Panic, Inc., put out a major update video to share some exciting games coming to the platform, and I was asked to be a part of it . There's still a lot of game to make, and it's hard to say when these things will be finished. But I'm working on it. I must say, it's nice to have a creative outlet in my life. When I started this project, my goal was to put something into the world without any expectation that people would care about it. And now a lot of people do, which feels weird.
