CATL's Shenxing Battery and Qilin Battery are gaining popularity. At present, CATL’s Shenxing and Qilin batteries account for more than 30% of CATL's domestic shipments in China, and the proportion of subsequent full orders is expected to continue to increase. Shenxing Batteries are currently used in models including but not limited to the Zeekr 001, AION Y Plus, Alpha T5, Hongqi E-QM5, and Sterra ET/ES. From January to June 2024, the cumulative installed capacity was 3.1GWh, accounting for 6.7% of its domestic LFP installed capacity. Qilin Batteries are currently used in new energy vehicle models such as Zeekr 001/009, Li Auto MEGA, and Xiaomi SU7. From January to June 2024, the cumulative installed capacity was 5.7GWh, accounting for 12.1% of its domestic ternary installed capacity. Furthermore, CATL continues to launch new products such as Qiji, Panshi, and Tianxing, and the competitiveness of its products is gradually strengthened. Analysing next-generation battery R&D trends has important ramifications for the midstream and upstream battery mineral and material sectors. The case study of Arneg Korea presented at the ATMOsphere APAC Summit 2024 was a great success. It was the first-ever installation of a CO2 transcritical system in a South Korean supermarket. This new system is expected to reduce significantly the emissions of the store.  Compared to the previous refrigeration system that used R404A gas, it will save 55.3 tonnes of CO2 per year, which is equivalent to the effect of approximately 8,400 30-year-old pine trees!!
