Experts say not to multitask. But I call BULL on that. 1️⃣ I comment on LinkedIn during my walk. → Blood flow to the brain boosts creativity. → Now my commenting doesn't get in the way of my daily walk. → And my walk doesn't keep me from my LinkedIn work. 2️⃣ I get in my zone 2 cardio with an informative podcast playing. → I'm busy! I don't have 2 hours to sit around and listen to a Huberman Lab podcast! → But my weekly cardio total is around 2 hours, so there you go. → I enjoy podcasts so listening is my reward for doing my cardio. 3️⃣ I pace while I write content. → The movement helps dissipate nervous energy. → Sitting can make me sleepy so pacing helps keep me wide awake. → Increased blood flow to the brain helps creativity. 4️⃣ I enjoy down time with my family. → If I’m going to take a break from work and relax, I do it with my family. → I need time away from work AND I want time with family. That's effective multitasking. → (I don't need alone time. I already get that walking and pacing 🙂) I understand multitasking is really “task switching” ↳ and that it reduces the effectiveness of the tasks you're multitasking with. ✅ But moving makes my brain more creative. ✅ And pairing certain things together can enhance both. ⚠️ Just be careful which tasks you pair. Can you think of other helpful pairings? Drop them in the comments. 👇 Want to learn how to multitask for better health? 📱 Schedule a 1:1 with me and I’ll show you! 💪 Check my featured section.
