Here is a sneak peek at what you will learn: ABSTRACT: In response to the increasing prevalence of electronics operating at high voltages (> 500 V), ensuring the reliability of these assemblies becomes paramount. Testing methodologies must evolve to accurately assess the performance of such products under elevated voltages. Presently, industry-standard testing, such as the Surface Insulation Resistance (SIR) test, involves subjecting boards to a bias voltage for 168 hours. However, the applicability of these testing conditions to higher voltages remains uncertain. This work investigates the growth dynamics of dendrites under varying cleanliness levels and elevated bias voltages with the goal of determining testing standard parameters (e.g., time under test) tailored to high-voltage environments, thereby enhancing the reliability and longevity of electronic assemblies. We hope to see you there! https://lnkd.in/eVgaecCf
