Thrilled to kick off 2024 by reflecting on an incredible 2023 journey! 🚀 Despite not adding any Salesforce certifications last year, I intentionally chose to channel my energy into applying the knowledge gained from my four certifications earned in 2022. The result? A year of hands-on experience and invaluable insights, courtesy of the incredible leaders and coworkers at Cloud for Good. As the year unfolds, I’m eager to apply these lessons, contributing even more to our team’s success. The dynamic world of Salesforce awaits, and I’m ready for the challenges and growth it brings. 💡🌟 #professionalgrowth #Salesforce

Today we caught up with our Delivery Manager, Dean Rose and ask him what sessions he is most looking forward to next week at Dreamforce.... "I'm thrilled to once again to attend the annual Dreamforce conference since my last attendance was back pre-pandemic. Dreamforce provides incredible learning opportunities but also for the chance to reconnect with friends and build new relationships in the ecosystem. This year I've identified three sessions that I'm especially excited about attending. The first is the General Keynote with Marc Benioff, followed by the Admin Keynote. Both keynotes are always incredibly energizing, offering a deep dive into what's been happening in the Salesforce ecosystem, along with a preview of new and exciting products. These sessions never fail to disappoint and always showcase a great "art of the possible," leaving attendees inspired and motivated to explore fresh ideas and innovations. Secondly, as a former User Group Leader in Dallas and a current Planning Committee member for Texas Dreamin' (May 29-30, 2025—sorry for the quick plug!), I'm also really looking forward to the "Meetup Session for Community Conference Organizers." This session offers a unique chance to connect with fellow community leaders, exchange valuable tips and tricks, and share best practices for organizing successful conferences. Third and finally, no Dreamforce experience is complete without a hands-on session, so I'm eager to attend "Automate Any Workflow with Flow." This session promises to teach attendees how to automate end-to-end processes using both Mulesoft and Salesforce Flow—a must-have skill in today's fast-paced digital landscape." Planning on attending Dreamforce this year? Reach out and let's grab a coffee! #DF24 #Salesforce, #SolvingIT #TrailblazerCommunity

#Dreamforce Recap -- What Brave New World Is This? Or - How I learned to stop worrying and skip the damn keynote. First apologies for the Shakespearean/Huxlean/Kubrikean opening, I had too much coffee this morning. To business! The most consistent theme I took away from Dreamforce--based on my observations and talking to as many people as I could about it: this year was different. What was different? A few things: 1) The frenzy seems to have died down - Dreamforce felt a lot like a software conference and less like... whatever it was in 2019... Something between a revival, a pep rally, and a rave? 2) No one with a checkbook is buying agentforce... yet - A senior stakeholder at one of the enterprise companies I work with shared that he had no interest in attending the keynote because he didn't need to "go learn about things that he couldn't use for 18 months anyway." People in the ecosystem have gotten wise to the hype cycle. None of this is to say that Agentforce won't eventually be worth the hype, but the grizzled vets of the space know better and they were at Dreamforce shopping for solutions to the problems they are facing TODAY. 3) The customers and partners are looking to each other - I spent close to 20 hours total between the two expo floors. 99% of my conversations were with Salesforce customers or Salesforce partners (mostly ISVs, but there were a few SIs mixed in). It's not so much that these people have given up on Salesforce the Platform, but they have stopped depending solely on Salesforce the Company for what to do next. Both customers and partners are self-directing in a way that I have not seen in the ecosystem seen before. It's not that they are unwilling to listen to solutions from Salesforce. They're just not interested in *waiting* and if they don't get the answer they want from the big blue cloud, they will find it from someone else in the ecosystem--on their timeline and at a reasonable cost. To me, the net of all that is Salesforce (again, the company, not the platform) is no longer driving ecosystem. We are (using the royal, "ecosystem we" here). This is a very big change. But honestly, after living through (more than) my share of frenetic, slightly culty Dreamforces, this was much more humane. We have problems. Together we will find solutions. "Agents" may be a part of the solution they may not be. We will figure this out. Together. It was great connecting with everyone at the show last week. Looking forward to working with you all as we set the direction for the new chapter.

Salesforce turns 25 today! 🎉 The story of #Salesforce started March 8th, 1999, in a one-bedroom apartment atop Telegraph Hill, San Francisco. 70,000 employees and 20 million Trailblazers later, today is a perfect day to reflect on what entrepreneurs can learn from how Salesforce built its impressive #CRM business. Let's dive into the 4 VECTORS THAT DEFINED SALESFORCE'S PHENOMENAL GROWTH through its 25 years of existence. 1️⃣ Perfect mission, vision, and aspirations alignment You can’t make a $2.592B business with a $10 vision. The Salesforce platform, including 6 major service clouds and over 4,000 apps available on the AppExchange, enables organizations to build meaningful and lasting relationships, leveraging the power of technology (Data + AI + Trust) to drive positive change. 2️⃣ Putting the right people in the right seat Marc Benioff often talks about how crucial it is to hire, keep, and motivate the absolute best talent needed to grow. He also believes philanthropy is a great vector of talent recruitment. Without proper staffing, building a super successful company like Salesforce would have been impossible. It might not sound all that surprising, but the truth is, not many companies actually pull it off. Salesforce did, and you can see the awesome results. 3️⃣ Focus on your best customer segments Lots of management teams find it tricky to figure out which customer groups are the best prospects to pursue. This decision anxiety often poses as a challenge because every customer group looks promising when you're just starting a business. Salesforce's SVP of Sales, Rob Acker, managed to convince Benioff to pay more attention to small businesses. Why? Well, Rob's research showed that chances of closing deals in this segment were better, and it costed less to make sales in that group. Simple math, right? Benioff was on board and putted together a 4-person squad tasked to go after this customer segment, and guess what? The business experienced phenomenal growth in that space over time. 4️⃣ Build on a strong competitive advantage Salesforce greatest communications hit has to be its early days "No Software" branding. Back when everyone was drowning in complex enterprise software installations, Salesforce was like, "Nah, we're good." They slapped that slogan on everything, made their logo rock it, and even had their team flaunting "No Software" buttons like fashion accessories! Slowly but surely, Salesforce became the cool kid on the block, instantly recognizable and totally unique. While other companies were stuck in the software "Stone Age", Salesforce was rocking the (cloud) future. Ultimately, this brilliant chess master move allowed Salesforce to be perceived as trailblazers in their market, making it incredibly easy for key stakeholders and influencers—journalists, customers—to instantly recall what was their unique selling proposition. What else can we learn from Salesforce's epic run? #Salesforce25
Happy 25th birthday, Salesforce 🎂 🌱 We have come a long way since the company's humble beginnings in a one-bedroom apartment atop Telegraph Hill, San Francisco! 🌎 Now 70,000 employees and 20 million Trailblazers strong, Salesforce operates in 86 cities around the world. 💬 Have a Salesforce question? We have an answer! Trailblazer Community appointed its first 30 Forum Ambassadors, and I was selected as one of them. 🔵 Forum Ambassadors are Salesforce experts sharing their knowledge, creating content and fighting with spam & AI hallucinations to deliver valuable Community experience: https://lnkd.in/d7fFZ44r 🟠 When I first joined the Trailblazer Community a few years ago, I was nearly alone answering questions on Salesforce Marketing Cloud topics. Slowly but surely, more people started chiming in, sharing their unique and valuable knowledge with the community, and learning through helping. Now, we have many Trailblazers actively supporting the #SFMC questions with titans like Nobuyuki Watanabe (who also joined the Forum Ambassadors program), Lukas Lunow and Shashi Prasad. There are also dozens of people answering specific questions that they had hands-on experience with. A huge amount of free and detailed knowledge. 🔴 As always, I highly encourage you to join the fun. Not only will you help others, but answering questions is an incredible way to solidify, structure, and expand your own knowledge about the platform. More to come, so keep on sharing #MarketingCloud #SalesforceOhana and #MarketingChampions!
